A Great Experience

Recently renovated and expanded this hotel offers first class accommodation to travellers. In the heart of town it is conveniently located and offers 12 car spaces at the rear of the property. Highly recommended.

Wismar is a friendly, beautiful little town, and wherever we turned people were helpful and happy to make your time special. The Hanse House (in English - don't know why) fits therefore right in: There are the little extras like the modern bicycles for just €15/day, a common / business meeting room with comfy sofas and free tea. Breakfast is standard and absolutely ok, but if you want something romantic and a bit special head to Cafe Glücklich, or for a nightcap around the corner micro - brewery Stuuv - quirky, decorated like a 80s living room (including working analog answering machine and phone) and playing German Schlager. Fresh Fischbrötchen (breadroll with raw or marinated herring - guaranteed to kill any hangover) from the market (Tue, Thu, Sat) or the harbour is a must. For dinner try Kutterkaten at the harbour (book a table!) which transforms the daily catch of the neighbouring fishers co-op into great dishes - it doesn't get fresher. And after dark hunt the old town for the locations of the world's first vampire movie, 1922s Nosferatu.

Coffee and water available around the clock

Wismar is a quaint town. Much of the charm is the beautiful architecture. Unfortunately, the mattresses are covered with plastic, so you’re sweating like crazy at night.

Neu renoviertes Hotel mit günstiger Lage, um Wismar zu erkunden. Altstadt und Hafen sind in nur 5 Minuten erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist für den Preis in Ordnung und es gibt frische Bäckerbrötchen, was schon einmal extra Punkte gibt. Wunderbar fanden wir auch das Wasserkonzert mit freier Nutzung der "Brittastation". Wenn Wismar, dann würden wir das Hotel wieder buchen.

Incheckning var snabb och smidig, hon bakom disken kunde bra engelska. Hotellet låg väldigt bra till i gamla stan och rummet var lagom. Det enda som var dåligt var att rummet var väldigt varmt, kanske finns andra rum med AC.

Super hyggeligt hotel i hjertet af Wismar. Flotte værelser med tv og gode senge der ikke er for hårde og ikke for bløde. Der er pengeskab på værelset. Eneste minus er at der ikke er en elkeddel på værelserne, det havde været godt til om aftenen til at lave en kop kaffe eller te eller hvis man hurtig skal videre dagen efter, og ikke har bestilt morgenmad.

Das Hande House Wismar liegt perfekt für einen ruhigen Urlaub in der wunderschönen Stadt Wismar, max. 10 min entfernt von allem, was wichtig, sehenswert und interessant ist. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und kompetent. Hervorzuheben ist die Möglichkeit, zu jeder Tages-und Nachtzeit Wasser, Tee und Kaffee zapfen zu können. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, ein bisschen mehr Abwechslung und/oder Auswahl hätten den Aufenthalt noch perfekter gemacht, es ist aber meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau. Das Hotel wäre wieder meine Wahl in Wismar.
