Downtown Los Angeles
City centre Los Angeles pulses with creative energy, from Frank Gehry's metallic Walt Disney Concert Hall to The Broad's honeycomb façade housing contemporary masterpieces. Wander through bustling Grand Central Market's food stalls, explore Little Tokyo's paper lanterns, or catch a game at Crypto.com Arena. The historic Angels Flight railway offers a charming climb up Bunker Hill for stellar city views. Metro stations connect you seamlessly to attractions, with frequent DASH shuttles filling transport gaps. Stay in sleek business hotels or boutique properties housed in converted historic buildings. Dining options range from authentic ramen in Little Tokyo to upscale tower restaurants, while rooftop bars provide perfect sunset cocktail spots.

Hollywood
Hollywood Boulevard buzzes with the magic of cinema history as tourists trace stars along the iconic Walk of Fame. The TCL Chinese Theatre's handprints connect you to Hollywood legends while the gold-trimmed Dolby Theatre stands ready for Oscar night glamour. Street performers dressed as superheroes create a carnival atmosphere beneath towering palm trees and neon lights. Dining options range from celebrity chef restaurants to late-night food trucks perfect for post-show cravings. Hotels span from historic glamour spots to modern boutiques with rooftop pools. Three Metro stations make getting around easy, connecting you to city centre LA in just 15 minutes.

Silver Lake
Silver Lake hums with creative energy where indie musicians and artists make themselves at home. Stroll around the reservoir for stunning city views or climb the famous Music Box Steps for an Instagram-worthy workout. Sunset Junction buzzes with vintage shops and cafes while colourful street murals tell stories at every turn. Coffee shops double as area living rooms where locals work on screenplays over pour-overs. Dining options range from taco trucks to farm-to-table bistros, with excellent vegan fare. Getting around is easiest on foot or bike, though metro buses connect to city centre LA and Hollywood.

Westwood
Westwood buzzes with collegiate energy, where UCLA's sprawling campus meets the charm of Westwood Village. Catch a basketball game at Pauley Pavilion, browse thought-provoking exhibits at the Hammer Museum, or catch a film at the historic Fox Theatre. The tree-lined streets blend student hangouts with sophisticated spots that attract both campus crowds and culture seekers. Dining options range from casual student favourites to upscale restaurants along Wilshire Boulevard, with a notable concentration of Persian eateries. Though parking can be tricky, the area is wonderfully walkable with excellent bus connections to greater Los Angeles. Accommodation vary from luxury high-rises to boutique properties perfect for university visitors.

Koreatown
Koreatown serves up a feast for all your senses with Korean BBQ joints that sizzle late into the night. Karaoke lounges and traditional jjimjilbangs (Korean spas) keep the energy flowing 24/7. The iconic Wiltern Theatre anchors this cultural hotspot while Koreatown Plaza buzzes with shoppers hunting for authentic Korean goods. Korean American National Museum adds a dash of cultural depth to your visit. Dining options range from hole-in-the-wall gems to upscale Korean fusion spots where the kimchi never disappoints. Getting around is a breeze with two Metro stations—Wilshire-Western and Wilshire-Normandie—connecting you to city centre LA and beyond. Hotels fit various budgets, though they're more about location than luxury.

Holiday Inn Los Angeles - LAX Airport by IHG
"Wonderfully kept property is a great location. Easy access to trains and taxi service. Friendly staff and wonderful breakfast buffet. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!"
The Biltmore Los Angeles
"The hotel is a museum, fantastic history, but the room was not bad and the bathroom was small and poorly maintained. Otherwise it is a wonderful hotel and location! We will definitely stay there again! By the way, the staff was absolutely fantastic, everyone was very warm and friendly and ready to assist!"

"it’s was amazing stayed with my wife she loved the pool area the room was super clean and everything worked great i recommend everyone to stay here"
Hyatt Place LAX/Century Blvd
"The room and location was perfect for our needs. Cleanliness and comfort was GREAT. The only issue we had upon check in is that you aren't allowed to park in front during check in - they have it closed off. We had to pay to park our rental and check in only to move our luggage to our room and then drop off the rental. I do not want to pay for parking ONLY to check in. There is an airport shuttle service that leaves on the hour and half hour all day long. It gets full quickly so we couldn't use it at 6am since it was full of luggage and couldn't fit ours. We ended up using another shuttle around the corner and that worked. There was no time to check out the fitness center so I cannot comment. The pool area was lovely and we left too early to enjoy the breakfast. I would stay here again based on the room comfort, cleanliness, and the proximity to LAX."
The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites, Los Angeles
"Room cleaning ladies are so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Los Angeles
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Los Angeles is during January, November, and December, when hotel prices are generally lower. For those wishing to explore the city's key historical and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, you can enjoy a wealth of experiences, including theatrical performances, live music, museums, and stunning architecture. This approach offers great value for money, especially for travellers on a budget, as the prices may drop during these months. Enjoy the vibrant urban scene, sports events, and dance shows that Los Angeles has to offer without stretching your finances.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for Los Angeles, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find great rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities to save. Additionally, utilise the Smart Shopping feature in the app, a comparison tool that allows you to evaluate hotel prices and amenities. This way, if prices change or new rooms become available, you'll be among the first to know, making your last-minute getaway more accessible.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Los Angeles hotel. For those in search of a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we can suggest more affordable dates, which could help you secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Los Angeles's excellent public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
