Stayed for 3 nights and felt pretty safe as a female solo traveller and the room was cozy. Would say that they have no cosmetic products for showering other than an unlabelled hand soap so being shampoo, conditioner and body wash. When looking around the room it did kind of look like in the bottom left hand corner of the TV there was a small camera so covered that and felt fine after covering it. Overall felt clean and safe, all female staff who I met and were welcoming and friendly.

While the room itself was clean (and the small size which is expected for this price range), the room smelled of mold. Even after opening a window for a while, the wet smell of the room prevailed. If you need a room just for the night (as Paris is great, and you just need a place to put your head), then this is a cheap, not so horrible option, But if you plan to stay in the room awake for a while, I personally suggest a different hotel. The reception was polite and very nice. The facilities are just as described in the reservation page. Note that there is no lift (wasn't a problem for me with a small luggage, but may be if you intend to arrive with a large suitcase). Will not stay again because of the smell.

We stayed a few days at Hôtel Aviatic to visit Paris and we had a great time. The location of the hotel is perfect (5mn walking distance from Denfert Rochereau subway station), the room, despite being a bit small, was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was good enough to freshly start the day. I would recommend this place to anyone who plans to visit Paris and doesn't wish to spend too much money in a hotel.

Bad choice

I was not looking for a particularly fancy hotel for just one night but I honestly do not recommand this hotel. It is not particularly cheap and even for Paris, rooms are so small that you have to tuck your suitcase under the bed. The room I was in looked quite shaby. It was on the second floor and there was no lift so I had to carry my heavy suitcase up a narrow staircase. The corridor that led to the room was located at the other end of a horrible-looking backyard. The room itself was quite noisy as I could hear people in the other rooms and the wifi was slow. The only good point is it was clean and breakfast was included in the price although it was very simple. The hotel location is not really nice as there are few cafes and restaurants nearby, and these are not very good.

A clean & humble budget landing pad

I was staying here for just two nights as part of a larger trip. Since I was by myself and was happy for a humble landing pad, the room felt just fine — I wasn’t too picky, and it definitely felt clean, warm, and safe, the most important parts. However, my single room was very small, enough for the bed and small side table; and the quality of the mattress (hadn’t been rotated in a long time) and amenities felt like more of a “budget” experience. The room did have a charming view of the rooftops behind the building, and I liked the basic tea service/kettle in the room for a hot drink in the morning. If you think you’ll want more space, even if you’re just one person, I’d recommend going up a room size. Also, be aware that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I can’t say enough kind things about the staff; when I checked in and asked where my room was, the sweet woman at the desk immediately took my overly-heavy suitcase and carried it up three flights of stairs to my room! The other members of the team were similarly warm. Check-in was convenient, done at a machine outside the front door that gives you your room key. There are also lots of shops and metro options nearby, so even if you opt out of the €15 breakfast (which I did), you’ll have plenty of places to eat, including a bakery across the street. Overall, if you’re looking to visit Paris on the cheap, you will definitely have the basics taken care of here; just don’t go in expecting too much, and you’ll have a good stay.
