Fantastic city and room
I loved Boston! The subway system was easy to work out and close to Copley House. There were good shops, especially supermarkets, nearby. The building itself was beautiful and the room was gorgeous. It was reasonably spacious with a good bed, tv, windows, heating system, bathroom, and a great kitchenette. It also had a great colour pallet that felt cosy and warm. I loved it.

Poor Value for Money, but is Boston
We stayed here for 5 nights in an economy studio at 240 Newton in a basement with 2 small windows. We booked this as it was the only place around $US200 we could find near town. The room was not as expected as the pictures on show a full window and look much newer. It was a reasonable size with a small kitchen (very slow hot plates - 20 mins to boil a kettle) and the bathroom was OK (had been recently redone). Room was in need of renovation, furniture was old and worn, floor was distinctly uneven, walls, although repaired were uneven, stairs creaky and bedding had sheets with holes. Had it been priced around $US100 it would have been acceptable, but at over $US230 it was overpriced and much dearer than a similarly located property in other major cities eg we paid much less for better on 45th St in New York and heaps less for a 1 bedroom suite in Montreal. That said the location is very good within walking distance of most major sites and the WiFi worked OK. In hindsight, we would have been better off staying at Coolidge Corner (where we stayed on arrival) and catching the trolley into town. But be warned, there is almost no reasonably priced accommodation in Boston.

Fantastic location
Nowhere to put luggage, too much in one room. Probably should not have a kitchenette which could have given us more space. Location fantastic. Rained heavily on one of the days we were there and we had nowhere to hang dripping wet coats and the rest of our wet clothing except in the room we had to sleep in. Staff had no solution, as a consequence we had to sleep in damp room.

Fair 4.0
Stayed for just over a week while apartment hunting in the area. Fantastic location, but the apartment was poorly maintained. Air conditioning controller was out of batteries upon arrival. Terrible smell from the refrigerator (despite being empty). The entire apartment was completely filled with an overbearing air freshener to cover the smell, and it lasted for almost my entire stay despite leaving the windows open. Really disappointing. The property is in an expensive area of the South End and would be a fantastic guest house if the owners invested in some renovation. They’re sitting on a gold mine but seem to be completely squandering the opportunity. Overall a poor experience, but the location is so good it almost makes up for the poor condition of the apartment.

Great for short trips!
My friends and I had a great time. It was put first time in Boston. This hotel had good reviews, a nice price, and once we visited it had more than we expected kitchen wise and offered comfortable sleeping means with a queen/king bed and additional pull out.Walking distance to just about anything as long as you have a nice day and the time!

School visit
Perfect location for a tour of Berklee School of Music. Fun to be in a neighborhood rather than in a large hotel. So much within walking distance.
