Very good 8.0
Light, spacious, well located, reasonable value.
I booked the 3 br apartment as one of very few spacious family accommodation options in or near town. On arrival I was told we had been upgraded but I did book the 3 br, so not sure what that was about. Plush furnishings. My teenagers reported the reasonably priced room service burger and pizza were acceptable, though nothing special. Kitchen has appliances for cooking but is not well equipped with utensils. I strongly recommend taking EAR PLUGS as there is a bell tower nearby which chimes through the night. The air conditioning became very hot in the morning and we were unable to alter it (reported to front desk on check out). No assistance with getting bags to room. Friendliness of front desk staff varies depending on who's on. Breakfast was included in our tariff and included a basic selection of cereal and fruit plus a choice of a hot dish and beverage in the restaurant downstairs - a welcome free inclusion but I would not pay $26 per head for it. Easy walk to restaurants and cafes at Seaport area of Launceston.

Nice room, good location
Team at Pegasus were delightful. The girls at the restaurant were excellent. I enjoyed my meals and my regular mocha twice a day. On arrival we had a fantastic reception. Informed hostess kept me engaged with where to go and what to see. The room was excellent and importantly bed were very comfortable. Negatives were that the lounges in the apartment were not comfy. They stick into your back. I did notice that the same type of lounge is in foyer. These were recushioned and were comfy. That was disappointing. Also my check out experience was too long for my liking. I found the gentleman to be confused in the process of finalising my account. Took him a good 10 minutes. I had to tell him to hurry up because I had to catch my flight. Overall i would still recommend especially if u r doing a lot of sightseeing or need a mocha fix.

Exceptional 10.0
Arrived to a nice welcome from the Reception staff at the Sebel, and were advised of the facilities available for us. The Hotel was vey central to the things that we were after, easy walking around the city, and as we were there for Launceston's Festivale it was very easy walk to the City Park to enjoy without having to use any transport. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a small but serviceable kitchenette. Rooms were serviced each day, and the cleaning staff were very professional, but still very friendly. When we asked for some decaf coffee for our room, we were given almost immediately. Nothing seemed too much. Had breakfast downstairs, and it was really good and a very nice selection to choose from. Overall a great place to stay when in Launceston.

Fair 4.0
Frustrating experience
the room itself was nice as whew the staff. The room key however was a nightmare. In our 5 day stay we had around 7 keys with countless keys re-programmed. They just didn't work. Other guests had the same issue. At first the staff told me to swipe it quicker which didn't work then a different staff member told me to swipe it slower then I was told not to keep it in my phone case as the phone will de-magnetise it. Then the lock on the room was cleaned which didn't work either. Even if it did I would still have trouble getting in through the car park or entering the gym. They obviously have issues here that need addressing. Although they were very apologetic it was never resolved. Would never stay here again.

Good 6.0
Adequate hotel apart from lack of sound proofing
The rooms were of the usual hotel chain standard, clean and adequate. However, if you want a good night's sleep, then a hotel further away from the Town Hall clock tower might be better. The clock tower 'chimes' goes off every hour on the hour all night. If you are a light sleeper, you probably won't have a good sleep if you are on the street facing side of the hotel. If the hotel had sound proofing/insulation such as double-glazing, it might not be an issue; but the hotel has very little, if any, sound proofing. Even the other guests using their bath room plumbing, closing wardrobe doors etc can be heard through the thin walls. The location is good. Its a shame they can't do a better job insulating the hotel re noise.
