you get what you pay for. it was clean but nothing special. Bed was comfortable but pillows were small and very soft if you can travel with your own will be more comfortable. Also if you are older and have a hard time squatting low, the toilets are original to the building and not up to current ADA standards so you will be bending your knees deep to sit. Also if you are worried about security there are not deadbolt locks and while there was a chain lock on the door at one time, the mechanism was still on the door but there was no chain. Its a small quiet town so not a dangerous place but it is still a hotel that does not open into internal hallways an right off a state highway.

The room was decent. The heater was very poor had to have it cranked all they way up to make it sort of warm in the room. Shower took a long time to warm up

I booked this room for the closeness to the Gunnison prison is a friend. Cost the least amount of money. Check-in was easy. The room was very clean. I saw other reviews said there were bugs, but 100% there were no bugs I checked every single crack. 100% no sign of bedbugs either.
I think the only thing I’ll say is the bathroom is kind of cold because there’s no way to heat it in there. And the phone did not work, but everybody has cell phones now. And there’s nothing in the vending machine.
The person at the desk said it was his first shift/night there and I wouldn’t have guessed that he was very professional, and he was very on top of everything.
It doesn’t seem like the best area, but for the price I would come here again

The room was good, at a good price. I wasn't there long enough to find anything I didn't like.
