Nice Hotel with Lovely Grounds, in need of some maintenance around the hotel and rooms. Bar staff and restaurant staff friendly, however on both nights food did run out with limited option on the buffet. As a resident you still have to pay to use the pool every day, facilities were good.

Reception looks great. Area / grounds look great but rooms were poor, not maintained and mattresses were extremely uncomfortable - worst by far I have ever stayed in. No restaurant or bar open; couldn’t even provide bottle of water and nearest shop 15 min walk. Required to pay extra for a gym (didn’t use). Not as clean as should be and I paid extra for late check-out as had vitual meeting - informed reception that important I wasn’t disturbed - banging on door and shouting from housekeeping in middle of meeting telling me I should’ve checked out at 10am. Embarrassing and unacceptable. Also, paint marks all over mirror frame in room and windows in great need of clean (common areas).

Absolutely shocking, check out time 10am, food was worst we’ve ever encountered at a hotel, frozen vegetables and completely flavorless. Staff uniforms were threadbare and unclean. Cutting grass outside of window since 8.30am. Wasn’t informed of early check out and when mentioned was informed by reception that I hardly expect them to inform every customer of check out time that that’s my responsibility. Overall very disappointed, hotel is so dated which is a pity as it has huge potential and nice grounds. Definitely need new staff not one positive encounter.
