Terrible, lengthy check-in and no room
We arrived at 1 am after a late flight and along with three other sets of guests we stood at reception for over 20 minutes before someone even spoke to us. The reception staff didn't even acknowledge we were there and stood talking on the phone. 1 am was now 1.20 am. Finally, we were able to give our reservation number and were told there were no rooms. It turns out this wasn't the case (after they had called around other hotels to see if they could re-accommodate us). We made several suggestions on how to proceed. It was now 1.45 am... finally the receptionist went to check a room to see if it was available, came back, walked us to the room, and gave us a set of linen to make up our own sofa bed. It was after 2 am. and over an our after we arrived at the hotel. Awful.

It was okay. They were very busy with only one person at the front desk. The in room coffee pot did not work and the shower head was broken. The staff was very pleasant and I felt sorry for the person at the registration desk.

I overpaid
The room we originally had was awful. The tub had rust and mildew. The light didnt work. The toilet didnt flush. We changed rooms. The staff was super nice and the manager was super accomodating. The breakfast buffet was honestly one of the best Ive ever had. I would go in just to buy the buffet. I just wish it was cleaner in the rooms.

There was food on the sheets, contacted guest services they stated it would be fixed prior to us returning to the room. Got back later that evening and nothing was done. Contacted guest services again in which he said he didn’t know who told me that but he just started his shift and they don’t do room services due to covid. I explained due to covid there definitely shouldn’t have been anything on the bed and the room should’ve been cleaned prior to us coming. They offered to change rooms but it was late at night and we were leaving in the am so they just brought up additional sheets. Won’t stay here again

No concern for guest's safety
The Manager, Randy, at the Hilton Garden Hotel horribly failed at customer service and in the treatment of his staff in my opinion. The acceptance of total responsibility when an error was made by your staff was necessary!! Everything your staff says to the customers absolutely reflects on the manager and the general manager and company as a whole!! If your guests say positive comments...then it reflects on the manager and the general manager positively. The resistance to resolve the problem was unbelievable. Shuttles only take guests to "business" addresses because of the business licenses that were acquired for your vans... which prevent your drivers from going into residential areas per the general manager whilst the manager said vans could possibly get blocked in if they drop guests off in residential areas...so they wont. I think consistency of your rules is necessary as well as the TRUTH! Initially, your driver took me to a residential address during my stay. Please make sure you advise your guests and give other options vs dropping your guests off at a gas station leaving them stranded for the sake of enforcing rules that apparently your staff were unaware of!!! Unacceptable!! After speaking with the general manager, I understand why the manager behaves as he does. Dedication to customer service and professionalism by the manager is needed at this location. I will not EVER return!!
