Historic hotel historic rooms
The hotel is a historic building and undoubtedly shows its age, at least in the room I had. I had a cosy room on the 3rd floor which was exactly that, cosy, but did the job. Hotel location is excellent right by the train station

Expected better fro the price
The location is good next to the station and the hotel has character.
However there was a lot of noise from outside the room, including the cleaners vacuuming the corridor at 0745 on a Sunday morning.
We stayed two nights but the room was not serviced by housekeeping, apparently reception should have explained that a note has to be hung on the door for the room to be serviced, but that information was not passed on and was not written down in the room.
The room was in the mid-pricing point, so I expected better service and less noise.

Fantastic venue. Convenient location: a very short walk from the train station and right in the city centre.
Food and service in restaurant was excellent.
This was our second stay here and will likely be back.

Property was great. Our room was clean, comfy beds. Although it’s practically on top of the train station, noise was not a problem. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great location, very good stay for the right price
Surprisingly good value for money. Very well located near the nighlife. Good if the price is right.
The continental breakfast was kind of miserable. We did not have time for full Scottish. The coffee was not drinkable. Coffee is a disaster in the whole of UK, here it was just slightly worse.
