Visiting our friends and family!
This motel in my hometown is a nice surprise. We have stayed in a few motel when we travel back to see friends and family. This is the first time we stayed here. The room was spacious. Because we were near the highway through town, it was a bit noisy but that’s what made the location perfect.

You can fo better
First night wasn't good, I made the reservation for a room with walkin shower and they assigned a room with tub, when I told the receptionist, she told me they didn't have room available as I requested, when i questioned why she told me the rooms are assigned on the first come first serve. The reservation was made 2 days before. Also I requested a quiet room and it was a connecting room and neighbors were noisy, I could hear people walking and talking in the hall, doors closing and opening. The second night was better, I talked to the manager and I told him about the reservation and he told me sorry but didn't have rooms available, when i told him, his answer wasn't acceptable because I made the reservation with 2 days in advance and I choose the room in their website, I told him if they don't have rooms then they need to change that so people know. I needed to leave but I came back minutes later, then he told me he was going to have a different room later which I appreciated. The room wasn't as quiet as I wanted, noise because the ice machine, people talking out side, but at least it had the walkin shower.

Not much of a breakfast, even for a hotel breakfast. There is a strong oil smell outside from a nearby well or processing plant or something. But, overall, a very good stay and affordable. Close to downtown and beaches, etc. The lady who checked me in was fun/personable.

Clean room, sad amenities
The room was clean. Jacuzzi tub in the suite needed maintenance done as the jets were very weak. "Continental breakfast" left much to be desired. Luckily "Diner 31" just down the road provided an excellent substitute.
