Lovely place but wrong area
The hotel is nice and clean. The bathroom was a bit dated and in need of a refurbishment but overall clean and acceptable. The staff at the hotel are lovely and really helpful. The area is not a safe area and unfortunately I would never consider going back to that hotel only because of that reason. As soon as we came out the Gare du midi train station someone stole my husband's mobile phone, not even a second after leaving the front door. We didn't see police presence at the area. Lots of drunk people sleeping at the Gare du midi makes the place unsafe , scary and very dirty. It's stinking urine, vomit and alcohol. We would not walk round the area as we were scared and we didn't feel safe. There were also people right outside the hotel doors that should not be there and somehow I felt intimidated by them. Not a place that I will book with a family or if you are going to go for a drink and something to eat as I am pretty sure you will be robed. Honestly it spoilt our whole entire stay as we didn't want to drink or stay out in the restaurants in Brussels city centre at night because we were scared of being assaulted or robed on our way back to Brussels midi Ibis hotel.

I travel by train around Belgium the Hotel is ideal for that right next to the MIDI station. I come every year, just one thing do provide milk rather than power milk
