Highly recommend
My husband and I just enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Mercure. The hotel itself is modern, clean, with very friendly and helpful staff. Room facilities are good - good wifi, fridge, safe, tv (that you can input your own Netflix and Prime accounts into), wet room shower, comfortable bed. The rooftop pool is small but good to cool off, with spectacular views and a great spot to enjoy sunset with a cocktail. The excellent buffet breakfast has everything you could ask for and good coffee, with amazing pastries cooked onsite. The location is ideal - bus stop ‘Ross’ is a 1-minute walk for buses to Valletta, Sliema ferries, and TD2 (or X2) to the airport. In the other direction buses go direct to Saint Paul, Golden Bay and the Gozo/Comino ferry port. Plus the hotel is right next to ‘Love’ harbour, surrounded by inviting bars and restaurants, or you can walk the seafront the whole way to Sliema ferries and Valletta, with charming restaurants dotted along the coastline. (St Julian in the other direction was a bit more 18-30, but that didn’t affect us at all). We asked for a late checkout, which we paid a very small sum to have and made our last day much easier and fuller. We’d definitely stay here again - thank you!

Stay in St Julian's
The hotel is very well situated for St Julian's with access to plenty of good restaurants and bars. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The suite had a great view and comfortable bed. There was very little storage area - and beware as the only shelves for clothes meant kneeling on the floor to use them. There are also no hooks for towels or shelves in the shower - so everything means bending down to the floor. Not great if you have back problems. Also be aware that the bathroom is only separated by glass doors from the rest of the room. Not sure when this trend for minimal privacy started but I am not a fan ! These are minor inconveniences and overall the hotel was a good choice. The staff on reception were really helpful and very responsive.

I reqlly enjoyed my stay, the hotel was honestly one of the best that I have stayed in. The location was perfect and a great variety of restaurants were within easy walking distance. The breakfast this hotel offers was incredible and the choice was amazing. The pool area was really good however the water was a little on the cold but that was to be expected as was only middle of March.
