We were three people staying in the same room. The hotel is in a good location, close to Europe metro station, and the staff were consistently very friendly. The room was quiet, the air conditioning worked well, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The balcony was also a lovely place to sit, and as a little bonus, we could actually see the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Unfortunately, the room itself didn’t quite live up to the impression we had gotten from the photos. It was surprisingly small for three people and very long and narrow, while the furniture was quite large in proportion to the size of the room. This made the space feel even more cramped than it needed to be.
Most importantly, the room is in need of renovation. The walls and wallpaper were worn, and the carpet had large red stains that we noticed immediately upon entering the room. The room did appear to have been cleaned, so the issue was more about its overall condition rather than cleanliness.
There was also a very large step to access the balcony, as well as a high step into the bathtub to use the shower. For my mother, who is nearly 80, we felt this posed a safety concern. The water pressure in the shower was also very poor, which made showering and rinsing your hair take considerably longer than it should.
Overall, there is a lot to like – the location, the friendly staff, how quiet the room was, the very comfortable bed, and the little balcony – and I wouldn’t rule out staying here again.
