Beautiful hotel, fantastic location, very comfy rooms with great spa on level 6! We only struggled with an A/C system in our room as it kept turning on and off every 5 seconds, at the end we just had to turn it off completely so we could get some sleep.

We stayed in a Superior room, which I believe was the lowest-graded (and cheapest) of the rooms available. However it was still a very spacious and luxurious room, the bathroom included a lovely big bath, twin wash basins and toilet in its own room off the bathroom. The higher-graded rooms in this hotel must really be something! The service was also terrific, every request was attended to quickly and courteously – even when we realised at 3:00am we had run out of toilet paper, a quick call to the concierge and a roll was delivered promptly. We found the mini-bar prices a bit rich, however we utilised the supermarket located in the same building as the hotel ... out the back doors of the hotel and a short walk down some stairs for a great range of food and drinks at supermarket prices. The location of the hotel in general is fantastic ... right on the Ringstrasse, easy access to the trams on the Ring, and also a very short walk to Karlsplatz Underground Station – or a short walk to many of Vienna's best attractions (including the Museums Quartier, Albertina, Hofburg Palace, Vienna Time Travel and very close indeed to the Opera House). The only downside – mini-bar and room service prices are a bit rich and we were never paying 16 euros for a movie on their TV. However the aforementioned supermarket negated the need to use the mini-bar. Our original pillows were very soft, however these were replaced with firmer pillows on request. Overall – highly recommend!

The Hotel was grandiose and looked very opulent, it was mostly a pleasure to stay there. The bed was very disappointing, the mattress springs were coming through and poking me at night and the pillows were very flat. So I didn't have good night sleep for my 4 days stay. The aircon also broke during my stay, although they promptly send a repairer, in the end it still wasn't fixed and I had to sleep with the windows open to stay relatively cool but with that, the noise from outside was pretty awful. Otherwise a great stay.

We miss the Grand Hotel Wein!! 5 Stars!
My boyfriend and I chose Grand Wein for 3 nights in Vienna after a snowboarding trip in Switzerland. we LOVED our stay! It was absolutely the respite we needed after our stay on the mountain. Our room was perfection! So much space! We especially enjoyed the in wall radio in the bathroom and enjoyed classical music throughout the stay. We also loved the heated towel racks and heated mirror and turn down service at night. We attended Vienna State Opera, so the location couldn't have been better. We were also right around the corner from the main area for shopping. No complaints. We miss the Grand Wein!!
