Great service. Big room. Good location. Wine bar was excellent, and carrot cake one of the nicest I've ever had. Owners seem to be working really hard on lifting the place :)

Beautiful location, quiet, clean, an absolutely pleasurable place to stay. The staff were so kind and welcoming. Will stay again!

Fair 4.0
Disappointing to return after a long day and find despite the place appearing empty ( occupancy seemed low ) that the room hadn’t been cleaned, Bed remained unmade, rubbish still inside etc. Room was tired with large cracks in the ceiling, floor and bathroom tiles, large carpet stains etc. Check in was also frustrating, despite arriving at 5 pm there was no one available, no one contactable, and no contactless checkin, this left me waiting in the heat and wondering when someone would be available/ contactable. I would not suggest the Lancefield to travellers, workers or those looking for a good nights sleep. As a professional, spending many nights each year in paid accomodation across country, I can honestly say this is the first time I have been disappointed enough to feel the need to leave a review as I understand the impact such reviews might have. However on this occasion when weighing it up, I do feel that anyone considering this as a destination for a stay of more than a night, or if travelling for work would do well to look at the many other available options in the area, several of which in my opinion offer better value, are clean and tidy, have straight forward checkin procedures, are easy to contact, friendly to deal with and keen to see repeat business.

The property was located just off the main road. It's so beautiful with its lovely treelined drive and gorgeous landscaped grounds. There is a great wine bar and amazing games room for the kids with a pool table, table tennis table, games and couch with TV. The rooms themselves were spacious and had country charm. The host, Danielle, was so friendly and we were immediately made to feel welcome. Honestly we wish we could have stayed longer than the one night that we booked. We will definitely be back again.

I just wanted to say a big thank you again to Danielle who organised our room to be extra special for our anniversary while we were away for a wedding. With my partner working alot of overtime this entire month we woudlnt have been able to celebrate our anniversary but this one night away made it all the more special. The room was so lovely, with a nice pool and a real comfortable and inviting vibe. Would definitely recommend and be sure to go next time to the wine events in the area! Thank you so much again Nicole

Worth a visit good value ,family friendly
We loved The Lancefield. A one night 40th birthday turned into a 2 night stay as we so enjoyed our stay. My grandchildren age 7 and 8 made full use of the pool, tennis court, games room, gym facilities and being together - a 3 generation group. This WIP grand old lady resort is coming back to life. Staff so friendly and accommodating. Beds and pillows so comfortable with quality linen.

The Lancefield offered a lovely, clean spacious (family/adjoinjng) room, in an environment that is just going to get better and better with the input from the current owners - Danielle and Pete. It was a welcoming environment, where nothing was too difficult for the owners to assist with.

I stayed here for 5 days with my 2 young grandchildren, aged 3 & 5yrs. It was wonderfully peaceful, shady in the heat and heaps for them to do. The tennis court is in need of some work if you like to play tennis, but for little boys on push bikes it was perfect! The spa end of the swimming pool was also great for for the little kids. The recreation room with table tennis, billiard table, games table and comfy lounge chairs was perfect for more varied activities. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower pressure one of the best I've used. Food was great and reasonably priced. Staff were fantastic! Helpful, kind, and available when needed. The motel is walking distance to the lovely shops, skate park and playground in the town.
