Does what it says
Does what it says - a comfy bed, clean with a good shower, towels and toiletries. Central position. Stayed only one night so good for what we wanted a bed for the night late check in and early start.

Old world Parisian charm in convenient location
Nice Hotel housed in a building that captures some of the old Parisian charm with its winding staircase and balcony in the room. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It was hot so it would’ve been nice to have a fan in the room. Otherwise, conveniently located a competitively priced.

Ideal location
Ideal location, close to restaurants and metro. Walking distance from Eurostar too. Comfy bed, only downside was the fact that shower is only on for 15 secs before you have to press a button again. Very irritating. No kettle in room either.

Excellent position..5 min from Republique metro....clean, comfortable..
Disappointed that the room was not decorated as per photographs on website....according to the receptionist we spoke with, these rooms don't exist anymore...booked this place for advertised decor and position to transport....1 out of 2 ain't bad...

Poor Quality/Price ratio
The hotel is out of date, with damaged walls, unfinished parquet flooring and a bit dirty in places. The only lighting in the room was too bright, and there was no bedside lamp. The bathroom sink was half blocked and the shower jets were too powerful (very, very unpleasant). The reception in the evening was very good, the person was nice, but the next day another person was rather cold. The photos on the website are misleading. You can find much better accommodation for the same price in Paris in the same area

Hotel is easy to get from metro station Republique.
Reception staff were on whole friendly and helpful.
Rooms are very basic - but enough for a three night stay.
Our shower was tiny but warm and efficient.
Hand soap and shower gel is available.
No working safe in room but safety deposit boxes are available at Reception.
Rooms are serviced daily with beds made up, and fresh towels.
You get a token for breakfast at next doors nice cafe - breakfast is Parisienne - a baguette, croissant, hot drink of choice, fresh orange juice, jams and butters. Sufficient but not enough to set you up completely for day.

The hotel/hostel is absolutely in unacceptable condition. The beds were very small and dirty. The cleaning crew just opened our door asking if we were finished after being there for ten minutes. It’s almost as if they knew it’s horrible.

I have never stayed in a hostel before, but I was very confortable with the decor and the friendlienss and efficiency of the staff. Except for the last couple of nights, it has been very 'tranquil' but I understand these establishments cater to groups and younger people sometimes and they want to enjoy the setting. I really appreciated the support because unfortunately I came into the hotel with an injury and subsequently developed a lengthy cold and even flu and everyone wanted to make sure that I was feeling ok health and moral wise. Thank you so much.

Not if you're a light sleeper/like sleep
It was So noisy - even though I had requested a quiet room. When I inquired again, they said they didn't have my kind of room in a quiet location - So solo travellers get the 'less than' rooms!? No a/c which doesn't bother me if there is a source of ..air.. but even with the window closed for sleeping - the humidity was very high - and it was still noisy - cars race the street..or something. Was there for 3 sleepless nights! - left exhausted.
