I recently stayed at the hotel and found the rooms to be old but well maintained. The restaurants, food, and staff were excellent. However, there were a few drawbacks to my stay.
Firstly, the pool was not filtering properly, with pumps placed around it, which was inconvenient. Additionally, there was ongoing renovation work that we were only informed about after making the reservation. Although they did inform us ahead of time, the noise was quite disruptive and often detracted from the tranquility of the beach.
One significant issue was the lack of complimentary water in the lobby or at the bar. Guests were required to pay $3 for a cup of water, which was disappointing. While they did leave water in the room, it felt unprofessional.
The beach itself was nice, but there was no entertainment provided, making it quite dull. Although the city is just a 10-minute taxi ride away, the hotel lacked nightlife, leaving it quite dead at night. Even during the day, there was not much to do, as there were no staff to lead any entertainment activities despite having the necessary tools.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but I wouldn’t return due to the aforementioned issues.
