Hotel has new management and has changed its name but has let the hotel go to pot. Do not recommend this hotel anymore.

First part of our trip wasn't good, after flying from Sacramento, CA to Chicago, IL for my college graduation we went to check into Extended Stay and waited for 35 minutes to see if they had a room for me or not. The next hotel that we we're able to check into right away. We wasted $54 on an uber to a place that weren't even sure if they had a room for us or not.

Place was run down. Exterior doors never locked. Pool was drained and boxes stored in the pool area. Room doors wouldn't lock properly. No ice machine on the floor I was on.

Please don’t stay here if you don’t need to! Normally I book an airbnb when traveling but my last airbnb was a bit rough and I wanted something nice since I was staying longer than usual. I’m okay with hotels not being the most “modern” or up-to-date, but the room was musty, there was mold growing in the bathroom, and THERE WERE BUGS T-T I didn’t see the bugs until my last day otherwise I would’ve booked it out of there asap. I tried to get a refund but the concierge was missing and I was on a time crunch after waiting 10 minutes and searching around. Just don’t stay here at all, either pay for something more expensive or do an airbnb!!

This place is the pits. Wow, and the breakfast was a joke too. Under construction that was paused years ago? No maint or upkeep. If you pay more than $50 for a night at this place you will feel violated. Holes in the wall. Electrical issues with poor wiring. Pool empty. Photos are totally misleading.

Power was out when we arrived and the front desk worker had no idea what he was talking about and struggled to answer basic questions. Offered us nothing for the trouble. There also was no hot water the first two nights. We called and told them the first night that there was no hot water, front desk said they were getting it fixed. 10 hours later we call back because there is still no hot water and a different front desk worker made it seem as though the previous worker never called maintenance. A pool was advertised but it was completely empty. Courtyard is terribly overgrown with weeds. Housekeeping never stopped by to give us clean towels (we did not have our do not disturb sign hanging). Don’t waste your money.

I feel like we were duped.
This hotel had a Holiday Inn sign, but it’s not. Nothing about it is. I believe it was maybe one they sold off or liquidated and you can tell. The pictures are old. The pool is having “maintenance” and they use that area for storage. The lobby furniture is in need of a deep deep cleaning. It used to be ivory- the building is in bad shape.
It’s not a short walk to any rooms or elevators.
There are no amenities, they didn’t service our room at all the next day, so we had no towels.
Just had wall units- but it worked!!
One room had a fridge, the other didn’t.
I didn’t see bed bugs, so that’s good.
There is just a worn out feel. I think housekeeping does the best they can with what they have.
The courtyard was overgrown and dirty.
This was an economical option, due to traveling with a group, we were ok with location because we could utilize the public transportation- hotel shuttle to Ohare, Ohare CTA blue line to the city and anywhere from there.
BUT- the hotel was not flexible or shared shuttle schedule- they were not prepared for any amount of people and only brought the “little one” and told us we could wait an hour. So we had to get talk cabs into taking us back? There’s a rule they aren’t supposed to shuttles are running.
