Great place to stay in Austin
Stayed here for a few days, great location, located in the centre of the cool part of Austin. Seemed to be a good spot for attendees of SXSW. The hotel was great, and I will give them kudos as they did not massively inflate prices even though SX was taking place. The staff were really nice, room large and comfortable, there's a cafe/bar connected which is convenient. Nice pool area. One thing I will say (nothing to do with the hotel itself). The area is quite noisy, some people can start to play drums outside late at night and the rooms are not soundproofed. I would stay here again, nice people, clean, cool area, close to food and coffee places.

Overall the location is the best part of this hotel, it’s pretty central if you wanna visit other areas in Austin. The downtown bars are walking distance and there’s lots of places to eat around the hotel. But the major downside was the hotels cleanliness, room was mildly clean. I would not recommend starting in their cabins with the shared restrooms! They only serviced them like once a day so with multiple people showering and using the restrooms it was kinda gross. Also the hotel bar would play music as early as 9am so don’t expect to sleep in.

Cleaning condition poor
No clear description of room had shared shower and toilet situation for the floor. Conditions of facilities were poor and dirty. Water on floor creating huge fall risk after your shower. Otherwise hotel was so cute. Not sure if they offer rooms with facilities in the private rooms?

Vibe, location, comfort and aesthetics on point
I love this hotel. Spent a week and the location is amazing, both where it's on the map but also the building has a fabulous mid-century vibe. The staff and people running the hotel were super nice and friendly. I stayed at the most affordable shared bathroom rooms. For what a shared bathroom setup can be, this was probably as good as it can get. Basically it's like 15 rooms that share 6 completely private, large full bathrooms. Clean with solid mechanical locks, natural light, good shower, solid water pressure and instant hot water. The room was minimalistic but cute and the mattress was fantastic and linens etc very comfortable. Biggest complaint about the room was the albeit stylistic vintage influenced lights made the rooms a bit dark after the sun was down but all in all I would say it was an amazing deal for around $100/day.

The East Austin Hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay delightful - the attentiveness to detail and willingness to go above & beyond to help was worthy of a four star hotel. The restaurant "Second" was remarkably good too - breakfast, lunch and dinner were all terrific. Great place!

Cute little hotel. It is right on 6th street so expect noise. Our room was on the 3rd floor and faced 6th. Once we fell asleep we didnt notice the party life outside. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. The only complaint is i didnt realize when booking our room had no bathroom/ shower. And an upgrade wasnt available. The 3rd floor in our building had about 6 individual bathrooms with showers. They were all very clean and we ad supplies for showers in our room but still strange to have community bathrooms. It was a different experience but overall would recommend

Goldfinger 007 hotel vibes !
Hotel for the very sheek or hip . The room have interior design that gives the visitor lucid vibes of the 60s in the new era ! The hotel concierges go above in beyond for your stay . I was hesitant about the co-Ed bathrooms but the key is to have them cleaned before and after your usage for courtesy . If your single stay in the cabins , I had no idea how vicarious the single woman where here they invited them selves to my room and private bathroom very 60s and a bit bon vivant!
