Chinatown offers a charming side of Singapore with its rows of colourful Peranakan shophouses and a handful of historical attractions. It’s divided into 4 different areas, namely Kreta Ayer, Telok Ayer, Tanjong Pagar and Bukit Pasoh, but its mainly around Smith Street and Pagoda Street that you'll find the area's centre of activities.

Chinatown is home to some of Singapore’s notable cultural and historical landmarks. Admire the architectures of the Thian Hock Keng Hokkien temple or the colourful statues at Sri Mariamman Hindu temple. Chinatown is also a destination for hawker food lovers. For a taste of something authentic, head to Maxwell Food Centre for local delights at local prices. The Chinatown MRT station easily brings you to the doorstep of Pagoda Street.
