Real and Good Breakfast Included.
The Charlevoix House was delightful and very closely located by the ferry boat dock and downtown. The only complaint I had was the very creaky floor of the very old house. The staff is very aware of it and planning to address it. Though one could say the creaking floor was a feature of the old house, and not a complaint. All the rooms were unique, and the kitchen and common areas were nice and spacious.
"gone fishing" room. With neat cedar shakes for the ceiling.

Best Stay in Charlevoix!
Liz and Steffan were amazing innkeepers and blessed to have found this incredible B&B with easy access to town and the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline! I can't wait to have the family with me next time and stay again! Wonderful experience and comfy quarters! 🤗 Highly recommend 💯

Bed ok; breakfast no so much
The place was cute and the Inn Keeper when we arrived was very nice but the breakfast was extremely limited choices and portions were very small. When my husband asked if they had anything different the morning keeper was very rude. When I checked out I got the same rude & highly unfriendly attitude. Location was excellent though.

The mattress was old and lumpy and the foot of the mattress was higher than the head of mattress. The bathroom shower is in need of repair. For what you charge for a night stay you can afford to do some upgrading.

The place was okay for the price we booked. Staff were nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and the setup was okay - the shower area was barely large for a single person. The stairs to the third floor were very narrow and difficult to climb - one step on the corner was barely there. The floor in the room was a piano - it creaked loudly on every step. We were constantly worried that we were disturbing other guests. Breakfast was just stuff bought from store and set in a kitchen.

I would like a refund. The bed had springs popping out of it. Not a comfortable night. Had to leave early in the morning.

Charlevoix is a wonderful place to visit, just steps to downtown shopping, parks, and food. Just a fantastic place to visit and comfortable bed and room.

4/10 Fair

The 'Innkeeper' of the B&B called at 430 wanting to know when we were checking in. And said he was leaving a key in the door to our room and just let ourselves in. Other than that, the hosts were awol all weekend. "Breakfast" was a couple of jugs of precut fruit, yoghurt, and bagels left on the counter- we have had better breakfast at an express hotel, definitely not bed and breakfast quality. Our room was on the third floor and the stairs were super narrow and sketchy- not sure how they even meet code. The door had a gap almost 2 inches at the bottom, which let both light and sound in all night long. The room itself looked like it was the former servants quarters that they slapped some paint on and decided to rent out- very disappointing. We love Charlevoix and have never had an experience as underwhelming as this.

Mattress was hard, thought I was sleeping on plywood. Breakfast was loaf of bread, loaf of bagels & English muffins. Paper plates. Not worth what we paid for overnight

Generally happy. Few notes. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast options were good however organization was not intuitive. Had to ask other guests where things were. Hot water took a long time to reach our taps. Noise from nearby Hotel Earl was heard in our room. Wifi was a little temperamental. Lounge area was nice. Suggest they have some Charlevoix maps out for guests to take.
