Be careful of Italianway
On our 2nd and final night we returned at 22h30 to find a faulty door lock so could not enter the apartment. Tried calling agent but no answer just a message saying ti call a certain number. It was the same number so what was the point of that message!
So had to find a hotel late at night and had only clothes we were stood up in. To be fair the agent saw our messages early next morning and showed us the lock was fine. It was not and it jammed again a little later after she had gone. So I took a video of the problem but they didn't want a copy.
So we paid for a hotel ( 100+ € ) but Italianway refused to pay more than 66€. So through no fault of our own we were locked out and out of pocket by nearly 40€. Didn't ask for any more compensation for the inconvenience but they would not go above 66€.
Interesting thing is that Hotels.com no longer have these apartment listed on their website. A coincidence?
Result is a very unhappy customer who visits San Remo several times a year so they will lose our business. Plus we have several couples who live near Nice who wanted to come with us but they will now also not book with Italianway. A very short sighted company more interested in their own policy than in doing the right thing by their customers. Beware!!!
