Such a relaxing feel. Old style home charm. Wish I could stay longer. The fishing dock was really nice too. Kids had a blast.

This place was quaint and cute. Very quiet and meet my needs. Could use a bit of updates and need to provide soap, shampoo and conditioner for guest or have a shower indent or caddy for your stuff to put on. If you are looking for something luxury, this is not it.

WARNING!!! WARNING!!! Upon inspection of the cottage we found that the place was filthy with dust and mold everywhere. The kitchen pots and pans were covered with saw dust and the whole place looked like it had never been cleaned in months! The water smelled like rotten eggs and big dead ants on the bed cover and mold smell everywher. I called the owner and shed said that the dust was from a new floor was just put in and that the water smell would clear up if we just run the water a wile. Well, the water never cleared up and the last two nights there we had RATS eating our bread on the kitchen counter and running around the kitchen floor. I tried to get pictures of them, but they were too fast to run and hide. I called her again and she said she couldn't do anything about the wildlife. Well, Rats are not wildlife! She said that she would give us a discount if we stay there again. WELL THAT"S NOT HAPPENING! I talked the the people staying in the other cottages and there water smelled bad also and the places were not clean. There are 14 of these cottages that were made back in world war two and should be torn down. They are rotten and mold everywhere. It was the worst say of our life! SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

My 3 Day Birthday getaway with my wife turned into 12 hours of purgatory. First problem was that my Reservation was changed & FULLY CHARGED 5/27 at 7am without telling me. Moved from King Room to Queen room & they tried to say it was an "upgrade". Even the paperwork on the change said KING BED. We called around 11:30 am for check in instructions THEN we were told about the change. And that if we cancel it would be 7-10 days to get money back. IT SHOULD HAVE ONLY BEEN $125 deposit, would have waited. Arrived about 8pm 5/27 Didn't sleep a wink, out by 8am 5/28. The musty smell hits you upon entry. The bugs (roaches, BIG ants, flying ants, wotms & spiders) own the place. The filth around the windows , a shower that was inexcusably wretched, a back door that you cant open. Not a level walking surface in the building. No door would close except the front door. 2 windows wouldnt close & one had no screen & every bug from the woods just came right in. A spider under the dining table having a worm dinner. We were being eaten alive. Had to put on insect repellant INSIDE the place. The other open window had several holes in the screen & a BANDAID covering a hole where a mud wasp nest was. Tried to close the bedroom door to get away, it wouldnt close. Was about to try & lay down one pillow had a moldy/mildew corner. And the grand finale was a blood looking substance on the sheet on the bed. That was it, we sat up & talked until about 6am, we never unpacked, didnt use ANYTHING there

We were just a couple of miles from the beach, jetties, and waterfront park. City marina area had a few waterfront restaurants. Nice dock to fish from . The cottage was roomy but because of it's age the floors were very uneven. My husband had difficulty walking in it.

Don’t go by the reviews…this place is a dump
I booked this hotel after seeing several 3/4 star reviews and hotel.com stating it was a 8 rating. Man was I mistaken. From the moment we entered the snook cottage 12, I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be good. It had a mold smell to it. The floors in the living room and kitchen were rotten and buckling up. The walls were also buckled up from being rotten. There was no electrical plates on the outlet, major fire hazard. The kitchen sink had a leak and water was all over the floor. The couch was dirty and disgusting. It was just an overall dump. If they put some effort into remodeling the place it would be a nice stay. Word of advice….DONT STAY HERE!
No cover on outlets
Dirty couch and buckling wall due to water damage
Bedroom floor, replaced rotten wood

Needs a good drying out and cleaning.
Our cottage (Yahoo #5) was not cleaned very well when we arrived. It had a bad odor and very musty, choking smell with 1/4 pot of coffee growing mold in a drip coffee maker and a full garbage can with moldy leftover food, bugs, and fruit flies everywhere. We also found black mold growing many places and noticed "damp-rid" cans all around to soak up moisture. The shower had significant soap scum, and the floors and carpet were dirty as well. Also, the heat setting on the windowbox AC unit did not work so it was cold at night, and three of the light fixtures did not work. The grounds were very nice with walkways and benches all over, and the other guests we met were friendly as well. There was plenty of parking. The high speed wifi internet worked great, and the complete kitchen, dining area, and living room, bedroom, and porch furnishings were comfortable and charming. These cute cottages appear to have been flooded recently, and are not elevated 3 to 6 feet above grade as the other dwellings in the neighborhood are.

Wahoo!!
Our cottage (Wahoo) was comfortable, well appointed, and cozy. Our preference is a quiet setting. This is exactly what we found throughout our stay. Some rain was the only down side, but didn’t keep us from exploring and having seafood in the local restaurants. Would like to return for another stay!

Disappointed Traveler
When we checked into the first cottage there were ants coming out of the walls,it also smelled like mildew. The second cottage was worst than the first dirty rusty bathtub, mildew, ant infested and not sanitized.Contacted Hotels.com right away and Indian River Lagoon staff refused to work with them, saying the office was closed.I left the property right away, didn't spend a half and hour there. To make matters worst I was charged for three days when i didn't stay one hour.
