First Class
Would highly recommend a stay within the Glendale Hotel. Staff here go way beyond to ensure they meet all your needs. Rooms are perfect and prepared for guests to a very high standard. Food is first class from breakfast to evening meal. Could not fault a single thing during our stay here. Thank you to all staff especially the gentleman who checked us in and out. Staying here definitely made our trip to Arran a great experience. Carrie-Anne and Brian x

Very nice hotel that feels like home. A bit in need of refurbishment, however, this tiny tint of time makes the place somewhat special. Fantastic breakfast, absolutely brilliant staff.

Fantastic hotel to be recommended
It was our first trip ever with a newborn baby and everything at Glenisle Hotel was fantastic. The staff was just amazing, super helpful and accommodating for our baby needs. The room was impeccably clean and the restaurant so good that we decided to eat there not only for breakfasts but dinners as well.

4/10 Fair

It said it was refurbished but a lot of chipped paintwork in our bedroom and the bathroom tap made a terrible noise when we turned it on. We had paid £200 per night for this room. The seating in the restaurant was stained also We arrived back at 1040pm on our first night and the bar was closed although the barmaid was sitting there she refused to serve us. The girl who served at breakfast was really helpful. Very disappointed as we had stayed there a few years ago and had a lovely time The photographs on the website showed a comfortable library with an open fire which did not exist

Absolutely stunning view from our room. Bed super comfortable. No wifi in the room only in public areas (did say this on booking when I checked but just in case you don’t check) We were in room 8. Big room but no decor whatsoever. Curtain for a toilet door. Toilet seat not secure. Dangerous shower going scalding hot then freezing cold every few seconds. Did tell the reception staff. I couldn’t have a body shower due to this. Had to keep dipping my head in and out the shower every few seconds to get the soap off. My husband is a plumber and became aware of what was happening quickly whereas there could be someone in the shower who would get badly burnt unexpectedly. Staff did say they would get this rectified. Staff friendly. Breakfast average.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff very friendly. Food was acceptable. The only tiny issue I had was that although the bathroom was clean, a few tiles around the bath needed the grouting cleaned as it was a bit black. But overall it didn’t detract from our stay and I would recommend the hotel.

8/10 Very good

Quaint hotel in little village of Lamlash. Room was very clean with nice bed/bedding just a bit tight and very low ceilings due to the dormer windows. Some renovation and painting going on which would have been good to know in advance. Breakfast was very good and great selection included with the room. All things considered, a good value and decent for a couple nights in Arran.
