Cops were there once, paramedics there once. Maintenance guy got in a fight with a guest (guest started it apparently) someone in a room next to me was rolled out on a stretcher. Mold in the bathrooms, outlets didn’t work for first night. The property manager and the housekeeper were both very sweet and seemed to be doing the best they could with what they had.

Worst motel ever
This was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. I booked 2 days, left after 1. I literally got bedbugs from this disgusting place and there was sticky beer all over the floor. The sink and shower didn’t even work. The manager/ owner was beyond unprofessional and rude and scummy. They didn’t offer any refund or anything and tried to make me feel bad! We could also hear cockroaches in the walls. I’m reporting this place to health and safety. I hope this scum bag owner quits. Terrible service

Got there and didn’t even have a room for us. Said they were overbooked. Had to jump through hoops to find somewhere else to stay. Then had the nerve to charge me still.Thats what you get when you book online.

Nasty uptown suites
This suite was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Looked as if nothing were cleaned in MONTHS, even had beer bottles under the couch, beds, the bathroom has dirt and grime all through it, shower head probably was never cleaned. The floors were so dirty that your feet turned black walking from one room to the next. I had my 1 year old with me and thank goodness I brought his pack and play for him to sleep in, so he wasn’t exposed to anything. This place looks NOTHING like it does online. The couch had stains and rips, all the air vents were soo dirty, there’s no way this place could pass an inspection. I’m mad that I even paid for my stay. And the employee running the place was very dirty as well, I watched her “clean” 4 rooms in less than 10 minutes, that just shows she doesn’t know how to clean anything. I sure hope this place is shut down!!

Horrifying, disgusting. Should not be listed
This was a terrifying place to stay. It looked like a place people get murdered at. Every part of the room was dilapidated. The comforter has burn marks on. We couldn’t get the gas stove light to turn off- making it seem like the gas was always on. You couldn’t pay me to shower in that shower. The whole bathroom was disgusting. The soap rack was broken and pointy. The walls were partially patched but not well. Everything was peeling/falling apart. The entire place smelled horrifically like cigarettes. It was overpowering. The pool (part of what convinced me to book) was closed. My brother checked in around 8pm but I didn’t get in until after we got back from a concert around midnight. I was so horrified I spent a half hour on the phone with various hotel chains trying to see if there was any Availability for a room in the city. There was also lots of yelling from other customers when we get back around midnight. It felt EXTREMELY UNSAFE. I would NEVER stay there again. We considered sleeping in our cars but I’m not familiar with the area and didn’t know where would be safe to do so. This property should NOT be listed on hotels.com I have a video of the stove if you would like- please reach out via email

DON'T STAY HERE!!! The only thing good thing to write about this property is the staff that checked me in. The room was beyond terrible. I don't think it would pass an inspection from code inspectors. The electric stove is a fire hazard. The badly patch walls to bugs in the bathroom. Lets not forget the stains in the furniture, sheets & towels. I know, the entire place needs a total rehab. Get this...the other rooms in the town are being used by FEMA because of the hurricane. Because of this the going rate is $145.11 for one night. Highway Robbery... The owners should be held accountable and prosecuted. I don't care if the tear this MF down and rebuild it..I won't be back!

The property was built in the 60's and has had minimal maintenance ever sense. Paint over paint over paint. Floor was dirty and had not been deep cleaned in quite some time. Room was not cleaned or straightened up by 5:00 PM when i arrived back at the room from work. Towels were still on the floor in the bathroom where I had left them. Bed was still not made up. I went to the office and found it locked. I could tell that there were two people in the office. I went around to the other door and knocked. No one answered. I then knocked constantly until they opened the door. I told them that the room had not been cleaned or straightened up and I would not be staying the second night. I gave them the room key and left the property. At over $150 per night... I think I could expect more!

The toilet was clogged the first time I used it. The bathtub was so filthy I could not take a shower. And I have taken showers at grey hound stations with my flip flops on. This was worse.

Absolutely terrible
I arrived at waited 30 minutes but noone was around in the office. Ihad to contact hotels.com to get them to call and find the worker. The olace was very sketchy. Kids were looking in cars. A lady was drunk walking around looking for someone. There were obvious(smell) of drugs being done in s room across from the pool. A few lights were out. There was a sex worker by the front entrance. There was someone selling drugs in a car begind the building. It seemed lawless and wild. I could not stay as i was scared. I did not get a refund either. Stay away. Sleep in your car before you go here.

My review
I stayed here because it was the only available room in a No-Evacuation zone in St Petersburg during Hurricane Milton. I felt safe knowing I was in a cinderblock building and had to hope the 2019 roof work included proper wind strapping because I was on the second floor. Unfortunately, the low reviews on the property are accurate. But, I am thankful for a place to stay during the storm. The two staff members I dealt with were very nice as well.
