Mid-range hotel
Normally Westin properties offer a lot more. I was pretty underwhelmed by this one. The staff was pretty short and rude both over the phone and in person with the exception of the man running the desk at the lobby on Friday night. He was respectful and helpful. Even the restaurant staff was unattentive and rude. I know it's the off season, but very unexpected. Pool was in good shape. Bathroom was good. Room was overall clean. The bed was horrible. There was a big dip in the middle to where anything placed on the bed always rolled to the middle. I'm not going to say it was a bad stay, but definitely not up to Westin standards. Wouldn't stay there again.

It started out slow. Valaid parking was a little slow and the front desk took a some time to get checking in. How they staff came on strong and finished well

Barn door needed
The door to the bathroom was the stupidest setup i have ever seen. If they had installed a barn door or pocket door it would have been ideal. The door only opens halfway which requires you to stand superclose to the shower then close the door to access toilet. Super small bathroom and a little outdated for a pricey room

Disappointing Stay Despite Helpful Staff
I recently stayed at The Westin Minneapolis for two nights and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. While the staff was very accommodating when I fell ill—promptly providing extra pillows, fresh towels, and a mop to clean the bathroom—the rest of my stay was far less positive. When I booked through Hotels.com, I opted for a breakfast credit. However, the restaurant had very limited options, and no gluten-free choices, which was frustrating. Additionally, I was charged for breakfast on the first day, even with the credit, and discovered on the second day that the hotel does not honor the credit. I had to reach out to Hotels.com to address this, which was an inconvenience. Parking fees were also misleading. I was told it would be $32 per night, but when I checked my bill, I was charged $35 plus tax per night. This miscommunication was frustrating and felt deceptive. Lastly, the hotel appeared understaffed during my stay, with several wedding parties happening at the same time. It took much longer than expected to get answers or assistance, leaving me feeling like the hotel couldn’t keep up with its guests. Overall, while there were some positives, the lack of proper service and communication made for an unpleasant stay.

When we arrived we found out that the hotel was overbooked and that we had to go to another location. The other hotel was very nice but the after a long day of traveling it was a bit of a downer. The parking cost at the new hotel was very expensive too

2/10 Poor

I have stayed at many Westin properties before. This one in Minneapolis downtown is in a bad state of disrepair and staff seems totally disengaged and most do not care much for guest care and service. My wife and I switched room from the Grand suite because it was very dusty and dirty to a standard room. This room was a bit better but you could still see wine stains on the counters and dust all around. Pool and pool area are outdated and dirty. A couple of staff members Manu, Emanuel at front desk and service at the lobby restaurant seem to be exceptions. Thanks to them for making our stay a bit comfortable. This property needs serious attention.
