Excellent customer service from the young man at the service desk. Awesome breakfast - fresh fruit, clean area, nice selection, and great bread. Loved it! Close to town, etc. Thank you!!!

Hotel Leifur Eiriksson
There are a few things which needs to be improved.....breakfast could have scrambled eggs and some baked beans. There should be more options on the coffee/espresso machine. Housekeeping should be more quiet and mindful about guests sleeping in and the amount of noise they are making.

Great location and staff
The hotel was in a fantastic location. Staff were great and very helpful. Room was small by North American stds but bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom was good. Would highly recommend

Although the room was smaller than expected we had a fabulous view of Hallgrimskirkja, and we were within easy walking distance of the major sites in old Reykjavik. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The "queen" bed was two twin beds pushed together with a cover across the gap, but we had a comfortable sleep. Definitely add the breakfast option to your stay if you are an early riser as most coffee shops don't open until 9-10 am.

This hotel is perfectly located in the center of everything, right in front of the cathedral, making it ideal for exploring the area. There are plenty of food options around, so finding a good meal is never an issue. The breakfast is a highlight, with beautiful and modern options that are both tasty and well-presented. However, it's worth noting that there is no elevator, which might be challenging for those with heavy luggage or mobility concerns, and parking can be a bit tricky to find. Overall, it's a great spot for those looking to be in the heart of the action.

The location is so handy, within minutes you're on the main streets for food, shopping etc. The harbour and museums are all within walking distance, under 30mins, and the bus station is under 15 mins walk away. Also the bus stop #8 is only a couple of mins away so can be used for the northern lights pick up & other tours along with the bus to the station. The single room was very basic but it was the cheapest option & it can get loud outside as it's a busy street with Hallgrímskirkja across the road. Would still recommend it.

Fantastic location!!! The room was extremely cramped… very challenging for 2 people to do anything other than sit in bed. Even accessing the washroom was awkward and uncomfortable. Reminded me of a ferry/airplane bathroom. Staff were friendly and you can literally walk anywhere in Reykjavik…. Proximity to free parking was a huge bonus!

6/10 Good

Pros: Excellent location, friendly staff, and tasteful decor! Cons: We were on the top floor (4th) and the slanted ceilings significantly cut into the usable space. I'm not sure if it would be the case or not for lower floors, but I had to wear ear plugs to sleep because of how loud the wind was at the top of the building. There are no elevators, but the staff offered to help carry luggage up the stairs. The main downside was the bathroom. It was almost unusable because of how small it was and the makeshift nature of the shower. It was literally only about 15 inches deep, with hardly enough room to stand, and the wooden doorframe to the bathroom was rotten as a result of literally being inside the tiny 15 inch shower area.

The location is perfect. Our fourth floor room was small and the slanted ceilings made it feel very cramped. There is no elevator but the staff are kind and helpful, quickly offering to bring our luggage up for us. 24/7 free coffee and a cozy lounge enhance the stay. Free parking is tricky but once the area quiets down in the evening it is easy enough to get. Would stay here again!

Excellent location and cute rooms. Sitting area at the top of the stairs on the the third floor with a view of the church was our favorite part. Only downside is that parking can be difficult and the nearby street parking is the most expensive zone.
