When a room is bad, don’t put people in it.
The hotel is gorgeous but the wait to check in took over 30 minutes. We were pleased with the luggage delivery service. Food service staff, towel staff, drivers, and most everyone was wonderful. Front desk staff were not wonderful. Our room upon arrival was loud and cold. The thermostat was set to permanent cold air and could not be changed. The TV was stuck on with loud volume. The remote control didn’t work and we couldn’t unplug it. We called the front desk and someone arrived soon to inspect the tv. It was a bad remote control he said. As we froze in the room, I tried to warm up in the shower but no hot water arrived!! The hot water was out. I called the front desk to ask for a room upgrade and said we would pay anything to get out of that room but was told nothing was available and check back in the morning. We seriously considered leaving the property but with two kids, we stayed. The next morning, we called about the upgrade and were told nothing was available. The third day with cold showers, I went back to the desk to beg because we were so cold in the room and there was no hot water. It was such punishment- we would pay any price for an upgrade. They said no upgrade was available but placed us in a new building after maintenance confirmed our report about the water and thermostat. I wish they would have taken care of us on our first arrival instead of making a chunk of our vacation uncomfortable.

Loved it for our honeymoon
It was a huge amazing resort! Lots of walking. We upgraded to a royal suite and it was worth it! The staff everywhere were so kind and worked very hard to keep you happy! The oriental restaurant and the steakhouse were amazing! The Royal restaurant was wonderful too! The buffets were ok. Some good stuff, some not so great.We loved the resort and will definitely be back!

The staff was amazing and very helpful. The location and the beach/ocean views were just gorgeous. The hotel property was definitely in need of some TLC, understandable with 2 hurricanes this season. However, the rooms and facilities definitely need some updating. The location and staff were worth every penny.

We stay at this property 2 times a year. We appreciate the Expedia desk/room in building 22 that provides excellent service. Eco environment is a big plus. We enjoy the adult pool that is quiet. Food is wonderful, especially in the specialty restaurants. Repairs in the room were immediately attended to. The best.

This was our second holiday at this hotel; our first in 2008 and it was booked again in the hope that it would’ve improved. Still disappointed. The building & rooms are ‘tired’. In our room, the toilet quickly blocked and its flush was poor. There was no handle on the patio door. We regularly had to ask for our fridge to be topped. Coffee facilities in the room but no supplies or cups. All of these things could be easily rectified. The main buffet food was repetitive, somewhat bland. The specialist restaurants were better apart from the Mexican where the food was cold / service slow. We’d like to see coffee & tea, and soft drinks being available in the communal areas for all guests. The coffee shop charged guests which I have never experienced in an all-inclusive resort. Overall, plenty of room for improvement - but no more that 3* quality at a push.

Beautiful setting with a lot of nature..rooms a little in the old side, water pressure in shower was very bad and water kept getting hot and then cold ..also scheduled a in room breakfast and did not get it because the guest services representative did not scheduled it ..over all it was a pleasant stay and my family enjoyed it
