Decent hotel stay
Good stay however the hotel is older and the happy hour food was quite cheap. Pretzels, cheese, celery and carrots. When I have stayed at other embassy suites it’s been more plentiful. Drinks were good. Valet parking only which is 57 dollars a night that was not advertised

Great location. 2 free drinks for each guest was a nice perk. Friendly, helpful staff. Valet parking very expensive. Couldn’t open windows in room, which was disappointing. Room was comfortable and clean. Pool was nice, if dated. Lobby is very beautiful. Overall, a well maintained historic hotel close to many attractions.

Touch of class, but room to improve
Beautiful, historic building with full modern amenities. A problem with our first room was immediately rectified by upgrading us to another suite. Weekend breakfast was very good, lots of options. Weekdays not so much. By 9:00 AM there were no more breakfast meats. We were told they only replenish on weekends. Cereals and oatmeal stations had paper cups instead of bowls.

The staff was warm and professional, especially given what appeared to be a high stress environment. I prefer kindness to perfection when I’m away from home, and I appreciated the care they treated their jobs with. The pool was wonderful and my kids loved it. There was an ADA lift down to the pool level but not into it, at least that I saw. The concrete would be a slipping hazard for someone without sure footing. The elevators were a bit cramped; our family of four took an entire one shoulder to shoulder with a cart, and during check out time it took twenty minutes to go one direction. So be aware of that. We also got a bit of a shock when my five year old opened the outer door of our floor, which happened to be right next to our corner room, and right next to his precious body was now a seven story sink hole in the form of an escape ladder which spanned the entire building without breaks… there was no lock on the door (it’s an emergency exit but those can also be fitted with alarms, ensuring no exit is unnoticed and people are warned to potential danger), and there was absolutely no device or safety precaution preventing someone from tripping and falling down that abyss, and what parent wouldn’t be chilled by that sight. I felt a bit betrayed by something so dangerous being so easily accessible. It’s difficult enough to keep your kids alive outside this hotel, what with traffic, roaming dogs and people going through crisis’ right outside the door. Mixed review
