Extremely bad experience
Extremely bad breakfast. There is only one lift and that too was not working. Imagine how difficult was it for me when I have to carry my heavy luggage's to 3rd floor using stairs. My mom is having severe knee issue and she can't take stairs everyday. So we have leave the hotel after one night only.

The concierge was very helpful and accommodating. Parking was easy to find. The breakfast that was offered was okay, but felt like something was missing. They had waffle makers, cereal, coffee, tea, bagels, muffins, juice, and fruit. The elevator was out of service and so we had to use the stairs. We had minimal luggage, so we didn't struggle much, but it could pose a problem for people with mobility issues.

The room was dirty, there was roaches crawling around the room the sink was stopped up. The tub faucet was rusted the toilet handle was messed up, it barley flush

Horrible experience
I didn’t end up staying. I booked a room for 5 people (2 adults, 3 kids). When we arrived at the room there were only two double beds and in no way could accommodate the 5 of us. We were only in the room long enough to call the front desk to see if there was a different room that could sleep all 5 of us. Since there was no room the front desk said they would approve a refund and to drop off the key at the front desk. We left the room as we found it and dropped the key off at the front desk. We were there for no more than 10 minutes and then drove 2 hours home. The next morning when I tried requesting the refund the hotel was trying to deny it saying that we did stay in the room and the bed was obviously slept in. When I requested they show us pictures of the room they sent me a picture of a room that had obviously been used by someone that wasn’t us. We didn’t even sit on the beds. The manager on Sunday was horrible called me a liar saying I didn’t return the key, that the bed was obviously slept in and that they would not process a refund (see pics attached sent to me). I emailed the GM of the hotel and demand they look at the cameras for the amount of time we were in the room and to see who else went in the room after us because it was not us in only 1 bed. After he reviewed the cameras he determined that we were in fact in the room for only 9 minutes and that I had returned the key to the front desk. It was a fight to get my refund.

Vengeful Manager
1). The photos on Hotels.com app did not match the descriptions. 2). Manager insisted that we booked the wrong room. 3). When we made a negative review of our check in on the app and a verbal complaint to Hotels.com customer service rep., the manager RETALIATED by first threatening us to refund our money (when he knew we had no place to go) & later just told us to leave. 4). The whole place was dirty and should be deemed OUT OF SERVICE. 5). Elevator did not work. 6). Hall way reeked of food smell. 7). The manager’s appearance was unprofessional like he just got out of bed & dirty. 8). The room was dirty: couch was stained & dusty; bed was saggy in the middle; toilet was slow & backing out when flushed; faucet popped off while in use; carpet was heavily stained & dirty. Will never consider staying in any La Quinta again. The manager ruined the whole experience for us & we lost the little trust that we had on the brand. We used to consider it as a reasonable budget friendly hotel. Not anymore. 9). Manager should be trained to listen to the customer’s need & to know that retaliation can get him terminated from his position.
