Great hotel in a nice location
For 5 friends visiting from the UK this hotel served its purpose well. Positives: - A great location in the old part of the city. Close to the harbour and museums. - Breakfast was really good. Excellent choice of hot and cold food. - The swimming pool and gym were brilliant and we used these during the three night stay. - Friendly staff throughout the hotel. - The hotel felt safe and in a good area. Negatives: - The rooms are a bit tired looking and both the bedrooms and en-suites need a refresh. However, the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our visit to Montevideo and the hotel added to that. The gym / pool facilities were very good and we made use of these daily.

A Radisson is expected to provide superior amenities. So, why powdered, instant coffee in the rooms, and powdered creamer instead of Half and Half? The rooms already have coffee brewers, so powdered instant coffee says “we are prepared to insult our better guests in order to save 1/2 of a penny.” Also, lunch and dinner menu is limited and uninspiring. As there are few restaurants nearby, this is unfortunate.

Hotel options near the historic port area are limited. The Radisson is a great value with a great location. Larger, convention-style property with an attached casino and meeting rooms. Room was decent. Bed was fantastic. Property could use some TLC but it looks like they are working on it. Can’t say it is a 10 but the best of the options available.

The hotel is very nice with excellent service. There is a restaurant on the premises with a small but good menu. The property is located in the old town area of Montevideo, which is charming but a bit rough. There is definitely lots to do within walking distance.
