Stayed a couple of days so that I could do the Vikos Gorge walk.The lady who runs the hotel was very nice and did her best to ensure my stay was a pleasant one-put on a nice breakfast each morning.The hotel was clean and comfortable and the room spacious.The hotel is close to the Vikos Gorge- the town of Vikos at one end of the Gorge is only a short drive from the hotel.There was also a nice restaurant on the edge of the river only 1.5 km. from the hotel.
I stayed here with my 70 year old mother and we were treated like family. Even though "Pappa" didn't speak much English if he couldn't understand what we wanted he rang his daughter and we spoke to her. It wasn't at all an inconvenience, in fact, it added even more charm to staying here. Victoria is an absolute legend, organising all our site seeing and making sure that we were comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quite time in their Greece experence.
Great hotel, clean, spacious and lovely room.
The only issue is sound proofing. The door locks can be heard from up the hall and there were 2 people talking in their room until 3.30am which could be clearly heard in our room.
However if they were not there I would have given the Hotel 5 stars.
This is a first class hotel, way, way up in the mountains it was first class value. We stayed for 2 nights midway through our 25 day road trip around Greece and wanting to see the mountains oh my we saw them. We were met with a complimentary drink and then taken to our room. It was large with a king size bed, the bathroom was large with complimentary shampoo , conditioner, shower gels, soap, and body lotion. We drove to meteora also through the mountains.
