"After a long drive to get there it was lovely to dump the cases and get into the hot tub.
The accommodation was better than expected and we both enjoyed our stay there.
We were told that the drive was a wee bit tight but other than that, no issues"

"The downstairs public area of the hotel (the lobby, bar and restaurant) is modern and very nicely decorated but once you get beyond to the corridors and bedrooms the furniture and furnishings show their age and clearly need some updating. Our room had worn/torn carpets with exposed gripper strips around the edge, peeling faux leather bed base and the body wash in the ensuite was empty. Having said that the room was perfectly acceptable for a (relatively) cheap place to stop, the staff and...

friendly and enjoy the area for a wander. Things i did not enjoy this time - the window was faulty and the room initially was cold as it was left open and would not close. Toiletries are meagre and not the best quality. The room was noisy and could hear movement constantly above, from all sides and the hallway, rooms next to us. Nescafe coffee is not the best for room facilities nor is ONE bottle of water, 2 small biscuits. Parking used to be free...

"This is a very nice little hotel. My room and bathroom were very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room felt more like a room in a home rather than a hotel room. I had supper in the restaurant (braised beef) and it was delicious. Breakfast was made to order and was also good. They have a beautiful grounds…like a small park. Google Maps took me to the wrong street; just follow the sign. I would definitely go back. "
