"The room was very nice with good heating. Great breakfast - shame the restaurant isn’t used for dinners as well as it’s a great space. Nice bar with friendly staff. Good gym with quirky wood based equipment. The only downside to the stay was we asked for late checkout of 1 hour and despite the hotel being very quiet the response was it’s 100 DKK per hour after 11 am. Shame as it would have been great to have an extra hour for free. "

"The check-in receptionist was rude. It was a surprise that breakfast was not included, this was not clear in the advertisements and no options for with/without breakfast available. This was, apparently, my fault for not booking directly with the hotel. I have been there many times over the past 20 years and never had this problem before. I do not plan on returning."

"5 star all the way! Our room was cozy and clean clean clean .The beds were extra comfy with nice down duvets. The staff were so nice and so friendly. Our waitress told us a little about the hotel which was very interesting . The Restaurant was our highlight of our stay .. from the homemade bread and the delicious butter ! I had the most amazing steak with homemade potatoes with glazed carrots and vegetables. I had the best steak I have ever eaten .We can’t wait to stay there again ! And so convenient to get to the airport. I might add there is a grocery store right next door. Thank you for a great experience! "Prided for being the oldest hotel in Denmark, you can feel its history the moment you step into the lobby, with its charming period furnishings. If you want a true taste of history, this is the place to stay. The rooms are adequate and warm, though ours had a rather slanted floor. The location is excellent.. right next to the cathedral and at the start of Ribe’s old street, two of the town’s main attractions. A small hiccup during check-in: there was no one at reception, and calls to the provided number went unanswered, which meant we couldn’t access the private parking. Breakfast, however, was fantastic, with a nice variety of options."
