"Our stay had highs and lows. The best part was the incredible staff - always friendly and helpful. The hotel was also spotless, thanks to the amazing cleaner. Another highlight was its location, just steps from Bikini Beach, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful shoreline. However, there were several issues. We booked a room with a balcony and sea view but got a small window facing a brick wall. Management first denied the mistake, then blamed Expedia, despite Expedia confirming the hotel...

"The food is good. But its not clean, has cockroach. Smell awfull. You have to say to change towels and sheets. Otherwise they wont change it. Towels smell bad. Water you have to buy. Overall not recommended. Staff is nice and polite."

"Nice villas, fresh as the resort is built recently, good variety of food, different events daily to entertain people (tennis/Voleyball/cocktail events, etc). Beautiful track comes out in strava if you run around the resort , part of the villas are heart shaped.

"The Barcelo Whale Laggon is just a paradise on earth! we tried both the water villa sunset and the beach villa suite sunset, and it was 2 marvellous experience. Food proposed in the all inclusive is just a wonder of taste! All the team of the hotel and the dive center is just perfect, always looking for small details, and helping during the stay. "Great place to stay. All the staff were super helpful and very friendly. Made our stay very pleasant and memorable. There was some confusion regarding rooms initially due to some overbooking, but they quickly sorted that out and gave us a free upgrade to their best villa - temptation pool villa since it was my birthday which was a very nice gesture. Good amount of water activities at this location. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this place."

Meanwhile, as a generous birthday present our accommodation was upgraded to the top-notch overwater villa with jacuzzi.
