Metcalfe Hotel Ottawa by Gray Collection
"Best modern hotel option in Ottawa. Will stay again."
Les Suites Hotel Ottawa
"The hotel was in a great location for exploring the city. There was a noise issue in our first room on the 22nd floor (top floor) due to noisy air conditioners on the roof of the building. The front desk was aware of the noise issue & said there were no other rooms available at the time of check in. We were moved to a lower floor the next day & the rooms was perfect. The woman at the front desk was wonderful to deal with & she handled the situation very well. We would not hesitate to stay in this hotel on future visits to the area."
Fairmont Chateau Laurier
"Our family stayed three evenings at the hotel. We initially booked two nights but enjoyed the area so much that we chose to add another night. The hotel is beautiful, the area is nice and close to many tourist attractions including Byward Market and shopping at the Rideau Center. There are plenty of food options, and overall we felt relatively safe walking around."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Wakefield

For an enriching experience that allows visitors to explore the area's prominent landmarks, historical sites, and cultural offerings, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, you can enjoy activities like canoeing along the river, hiking through scenic forests, and even engaging in winter sports such as snowshoeing and sledding. Wakefield offers great value for money for those on a budget, making it an ideal destination for a cost-effective getaway.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Wakefield, explore the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, increasing your chances of finding the best deals. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you identify the best options. With these resources, you could book a budget-friendly getaway in West Yorkshire.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you potentially save on your stay in a Wakefield hotel. For those in search of unique accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll recommend alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to secure the best deal.
- Consider your location: Opting for accommodation closer to major attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For more budget-friendly options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, which can help strike a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you wish to visit. Additionally, exploring independent hotels situated a bit further out could offer a more authentic and often more affordable experience.
