Hotel Riu Plaza London Victoria

Hotel Riu Plaza London Victoria

10/10 Excellent
"Booked last minute for a one night stay in a room with a king size bed. Room was great value, spacious, spotless and quiet. Shower and toiletries were excellent. View was nice. The staff were mostly really professional and friendly. However some of the team in the dining room seemed not to fully understand what foods contained gluten. Breakfast buffet was great for me but not as good for my wife, who is coeliac. While they made a good attempt to identify foods with gluten in, the layout meant the risk of cross-contamination was high. Reported directly to Riu, but no response or interest shown so far."

The Cumberland, London

The Cumberland, London

8/10 Good
"Third time here as the hotel is a great base for central London. The staff were all lovely, especially those on the front door and at the luggage room. We had an executive king room which gave us access to the VIP lounge. The lounge has moved since our last visit. We only used it briefly in the mornings and evenings so we can’t comment on other times of the day, but the room is now far too small for the number of guests. The breakfast bites were good as were the drinks but there is no longer a menu for a range of evening snacks. Instead guests are offered one plateful each of a fixed selection of small canapés. The complimentary mini bar in our room contained one beer one can of coke and three bottles of water (for 2 people) and was not refilled after the first day."

During this time, visitors can immerse themselves in the local history and culture, enjoy the friendly atmosphere, and explore various dining and shopping options. This budget-friendly trip promises great value for money, allowing guests to appreciate all that Sutton has to offer without breaking the bank.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Sutton, explore the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool within the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see when prices drop or rooms become available, ensuring you can easily book a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you potentially save on your stay at a hotel in Sutton. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price leans towards the higher end, we’ll suggest more affordable dates, increasing the likelihood that you’ll secure a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Staying closer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sites you wish to visit. You could also explore independent hotels located slightly further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
