Learn more about Sequim

Bathed in unusual sunshine for the Pacific Northwest, this small city thrives in a 'blue hole' rain shadow that makes it America's lavender capital. Fields of purple blooms invite picking your own fragrant bouquet during summer festivals. The Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge offers remarkable coastal hiking, while the spit itself stretches dramatically into the strait. Kayaking reveals hidden coves along the rugged shoreline. After outdoor adventures, sample the area's namesake Dungeness crab - sweeter and more delicate than its crustacean cousins. Locals pronounce it 'SKWIM' (one syllable), and they'll happily direct you to u-pick berry farms where buckets quickly fill with summer's bounty. The Museum and Art Centre showcases the region's unique climate and cultural heritage.

Dungeness Bay Cottages

10/10 Excellent
"Sequim is a delightful place to visit and stay. Easy drive to Olympic National Park, and Port Angeles if you want to take a ferry. This property was great. We enjoyed the charming decor in our cozy cottage. Any questions that we had were answered quickly via the chat system. There was a little private beach area we could visit easily and we enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking at the National Park. It was not an issue for us, but the listing and photo when I booked described that our cottage had a bed and a sleeper sofa. There wasn't a sleeper sofa, and our cottage was perfect for the two of us but would not have been comfortable with any more people in it. The property does have larger cottages as well. You should definitely consider it."

Ocean Star Inn

Ocean Star Inn

8/10 Good
"The room was clean and the location was quiet. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good, Unfortunately, the hotel didn’t have an elevator, which made it a challenge to get our larger luggage up the stairs. The hotel room appeared to have been updated with the exception of the toilet. The toilet was very low, the seat was wobbly and it made a loud squeaking noise when it flushed. It was definitely in need of replacement."

"Stayed here for one night while traveling through. We had an afternoon of berry picking at a nearby farm and then went to Dungeness wildlife refuge (highly recommend). We grabbed pizza in town then went up to the roof for sunset. Kids used the pool. It’s also near a grocery store."

Furthermore, enabling email alerts or push notifications can keep you informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don't miss potential savings. The Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. If rooms become available or prices drop, you're more likely to see these updates first, making it easier to secure a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Sequim hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and occasionally better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we may suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to secure a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but thanks to Sequim's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often superb value to be had.
