Find out more about Venetian Riviera

Venetian Riviera Hotels

The Venetian Riviera stretches from the grand city of Venice, along the sparkling waters of the Adriatic Sea, with several quaint small towns along the way. It's a popular spot for families, with attractions for all ages including several water parks full of thrilling rides. You can enjoy close proximity to Venice with its culture and history, yet also enjoy long sandy beaches, family fun, and regular water bus services so you can enjoy the best of the Venetian Riviera.

Things to see

Caorle attracts many visitors who want to enjoy its long stretches of sand, and the main Caorle Beach‎ is nearly 16 kilometres long. The seas are clear and calm, and during the summer months the water is warm enough for swimming, surfing, and many other water sports. There are sun loungers to hire all along the beach, or you can relax on the soft golden sands on a stretch away from the crowds. If you prefer to cool off in a pool, then a trip to Aquafollie, a colourful and family friendly water park is ideal for the hottest of days. Set in Caorle, it features a lazy river, winding flumes, and bumpy slides to thrill people of all ages. Jesolo is also a popular spot for beaches, and if you want to know what's going on under the water's surface, then a trip to SEA LIFE Jesolo‎ will help you see what's going on in the depths of the ocean. In the ocean tunnel you'll come up close to friendly turtles and exotic fish, or you can stroke the cute rays in the serene touch tank.

Hotels in Venetian Riviera

The Venetian Riviera has a diverse choice of hotels, depending on where you want to stay and who will be travelling. If you want luxury hotels in the Venetian Riviera, then Jesolo and Jesolo Lido have many 4 and 5 star options, with facilities such as outdoor pools, spa tubs, fitness centres, and rooftop bars, ensuring you have a relaxing stay. Many of these hotels also have a choice of restaurants and snack bars, and serve a complimentary breakfast to get your day started. If you're looking to stay on a budget, then towns such as Chioggia or Caorle have cheaper hotels just inland, with extras such as free WiFi and free parking, as well as family rooms with all the amenities you'll need for a comfortable stay.

Where to stay

Jesolo Lido is set along a long and particularly spectacular stretch of sandy beach, and has become a popular family holiday resort. The town has several charming tree-lined shopping streets, with souvenirs, boutiques, and shops selling handmade goods. It's very much a summer town; with clean streets full of gelato stands and tourists riding on bikes during the high season. Chioggia‎ is set on an island joined to the Venetian Riviera by bridge, and closely resembles Venice, with homes and hotels set alongside canals. It allows you to enjoy a traditional Italian canal town, without the crowds of Venice, and there's a huge number of cosy bistros and stylish cafés to be found along the waterways.

How to get to Venetian Riviera

Venice Marco Polo Airport has a large number of arrivals from across the UK and Europe, as well as a few long-haul routes. Most places along the Venetian Riviera have 2 major options for airport transfers; road or boat, and there are excellent bus connections to towns such as Jesolo, Chioggia, and the popular holiday areas. In addition to having a network of boats on public transport, there are water taxis available for a faster shuttle service with more space. Another option is to arrive via train at the Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia. There are trains arriving here from across Italy, as well as services that connect to Paris, London, and other European cities.
