The lady on reception and the cleaner were lovely.
The bedding was clean
The towels were clean but smelt of bleach.
The bedroom area was clean and tidy.
The bathroom had loads of mould. Water pressure is low and like the rest of the room and hotel in general it is very dated.
Breakfast is a help yourself, cornflakes, orange juice and fruit which is situated in the hall.
Staff told us that the hotel closed its doors 18 months ago and has been up for sale since then. The kitchens are closed and the nearest place to eat is in the next town, about a five minute drive away.
To keep on top of the bills, 8 rooms in an annex building, are being rented out.
We booked for two nights and if we could we would have asked for our money back and left immediately. As it was we stopped for just one night and left.
We feel ripped off with the economical description of, " Hotel not working at full capacity" and "Kitchens are temporarily closed!"
