Best Hotel in Hokusetsu area
Probably the best hotel in this area - location, access to JR train, restaurant in same buildings, and great breakfast.

Booked a room for its rooftop spa and breakfast buffet.
Men's spa - noticed a few guests not taking a shower and taking a bath. The next day, I noticed another guest picking the bottom of his foot and coughing and sneezing inside the bath. Decided to not use the bath afterward. Another guest also walked out without using the bath.
Breakfast buffet - offers a few more items than other business hotels such as Toyoko Inn, but the taste was mediocre at best.
Front staff - They seem to be more courteous to Japanese guests than foreign guests. A male staff working at night looked at me and walked by, but noticed him giving a very polite greeting to a Japanese guest a few minutes later. A female staff who took care of us sounded courteous, but I could see the frown in her eyebrows whenever I made requests for amenities. (Towels and Febreeze)
I would probably book a cheaper franchise hotel next time such as Toyoko Inn or Dormy Inn.

Staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are as advertised and clean. Our room has two twin beds and a long sofa, and it works for my family of 3. The supermarket downstairs is very convenient. The hotel is right next to a train station (Kishibe). The train ride to Osaka is 190 yen, (about $1.5 USD), and we also ride the train to visit Kyoto.

I really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms and bathroom are decently small, but overall were able to make it work. The hotel is connected to a 7-11 and grocery store, so that is very convenient to have if you want to get food or drinks anytime. The staff were very helpful throughout our stay. I didn’t get to try the sky spa that is there, but my boyfriend did and he loved it. He went there twice a day, everyday. Also nice that it is close to the station. It is only a 10 mins train ride to Osaka station city which was always so nice. I would definitely recommend. One problem I would say, is that it would be nice if the dust was cleaned off the vents.

Getting to the properrty is difficult because of the road system and there was no guidance told before so it was very stressful. I did not know where to park

This should be a 5 star review as the hotel is nice. But when I lost my credit card the hotel wouldn't let me use a phone to call my bank to cancel it (even though its free to call them). They told me to Google pay phones in the area or try at the train station. My credit card was missing.. and they told me to google where to go.

From the hotel it is less than 2 minute’s walk on the adjoining concourse to Kishibe station which is 2 stops to Shin-Osaka station. Kishibe is a peaceful, clean suburb. The Candeo is a modern hotel thatoccupies the upper levels of a mid-rise building. There is a supermarket on the ground floor. On the concourse level there is a 7-Eleven (for foreign card ATM and convenience items) and some restaurants options. The room is quiet, well appointed and comfortable. On the rooftop level is the Reception, dining area, laundry, and Sento bath. The windowed walkway from the Reception to the Sento has a great view of Osaka. I stayed for six nights. I found it easy to use all the hotel facilities and to communicate with staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and felt welcomed. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Osaka.

A great hotel with excellent services and lots of convenience. Perfectly located with easy access to JR line and the rest of Osaka. The hotel building holds a supermarket, a drug store, Seria (a dollar store), 7-11, restaurants and more. The ground floor in front of a supermarket is an eye brows and eye lashes salon that take walk-ins given availability. In and around the building are many clinics and hospital which are nice to be near by in case you fall ill.
Small shortcomings of this hotel are 1) The weather was excellent during our stay but I believe cold but nice sunny weather heats up the dining area with all tall windows . Our stay included free breakfast but we never ate there because it was too hot there everytime we tried. And 2) Staff are excellent but be aware of some Asian tourists that may take away from your total Japanese bath experience. The public bath on the top floor is wonderful but there are some easy and common rules to follow, like you take off your slippers/shoes at entrance and put them in the locker with your other belongings. The locker area is considered a part of bathing area - people should be allowed to stay clean barefooted. I saw several times some ladies finished bathing but put on their slippers right in that area, not at entrance/exit. I knew they were not Japanese because Japanese women would not do such a thing at the public bath. Signage was there but it was very subtle. I think the hotel can post more effectively.
