Arrived late and lost not in the best mood after an eleven hour shift and to on the downside it's badly signposted. The lovely man on reception was a credit he give us directions on the phone assured us we would still be ok despite being quarter of an hour late.He sensed we were tired on arrival and quickly checked us in in his lovely charming manner .Now will admit not very impressed the building lovely didn't like the cell like rooms. After an hour and coffee which was provided with two cups and a kettle was thinking could live here quite happily. The cell like feeling only on shared corridor. The room was clean modern with lots of storage and a bathroom the walk in shower was lovely. To top it off we could see York Minster in the not to distant from our window fair comment obstructed by a bit of scaffolding but we got our bearings .To top it off there was a working kitchen next door and an Asda and Morrisons few minutes walk away.To be honest we had a great weekend who stays in the room when visiting York .My advice is take toiletries who doesn't and there's no parking so you can park on a nearby industrial estate for free but at your own risk.
