Convenient but needs updates
The staff were friendly and helpful. However, facilities needed some fixes and updates. My first room had a leak under the bathroom sink. The replacement room had a toilet that was lopsided and needed to jiggle the handle so it doesn't keep running. The shower didn't have any place to put the soap and other toiletries. I think it fell off before and wasn't replaced. The AC and heat can run for hours but is very load so you can't really hear the TV or talk on the phone with it on. But it was centrally located and very good for logistics

This place is old but has a lot of charm. Clean. Could use a facelift. Location was great. So much to do from the minute you step outside. Museums, dining, shopping, churches, walking paths... and easy access to the Metro, taxis, buses. The staff was really nice and professional. Overall, very pleased with this hotel.

The stay started off bad. Paid for a high end room and was put in one that the bed barely fit in there. We had to step aside of each other to move around the room. Paid for breakfast to be included and front desk said it didn’t show and we would have to check the next morning. After we went down to complain front desk said that was a superior room. Told him I wouldn’t take it and to move us. Was then changed to a 2room suite that was spacious. If I hadn’t complained we would have been stuck in a 12x12 room. The young lady at front the next day was very pleasant and accommodating. She found our breakfast passes right away and she was really the best both Saturday and Sunday morning. I will probably stay there again but will ask first if we are getting what we really paid for.

Monterrey Centro Experience
I visited Monterrey for 3 days and decided to stay at this hotel. It's in the downtown and the popular 'Barrio antiguo' is a few blocks away. It's well communicated with the other neighborhood and you can commute with Uber, Taxi which you can request from the hotel for safety or Bus. What I also liked about the hotel is that it had a table and a chair in case you want to work; and since i had to work a couple of hours during the day, it made my stay worth. I had a view of the downtown from room 811.

the property itself is on fair condition but there was not hit water in my room i reported this to the front desk at least 3 times an it never was addressed my key cards kept getting deactivated and had to reactivate at least 4 times durin my stay i will not be staying in this hotel again

Really Expensive for what we get, smelly carpet, stain sheets, mold on shower, Seat in room cover in stain I took several pics for review, I won’t recommend this please at all. Terrible service, front door doesn’t even work. Parking is the worst. I was the most terrible hotel experience that I ever get in my life.

this is a very old hotel and there are a lot of things that did not work for me for example the first room I was given did not have a security box, it did not have hangers on the closet, the wifi signal was so weak I could not open a single page, so I asked for a room change which they did the next morning the 2nd room did not have hot water, there was a leak from the ceiling from a pipe and the only window it had was facing the employes elevator so you had to keep the curtain down, very dark room. so, the whole thing was not pleasant, also the only elevator was under repair, so you had to use the workers one and it would take forever The only good thing is the location.

For what it's worth, it wasn't that bad. I liked the fact that they have a late check-in until 4am (my flight arrived after midnight and didn't get to the hotel till 1:30a). Also, they have a late check-out which I like. There are renovations going on at the hotel. It's kinda beat down but it isn't that bad. I stayed for one night. One thing I wish they would have told me about how to get the lights to work. I didn't know that I had to put the card in for it to work. I went in and none of the lights were working so I went downstairs and they had one of the gentlemen show me how it works. They should have done that when I checked in. Another thing was that there was a towel on a chair when I walked in, maybe the cleaning ppl left it there. Overall, not bad
