My room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was amazing! The pool was a lovely way to cool off. The hotel is in a great location to get to and from the airport.(One tram ride) If you are travelling around Italy, the train station and bus stations are very close. Most attractions are within a walkable distance. The tours and experiences I booked had meeting places within a walkable distance also.

I loved everything about the hotel - it is incredible value for money, however the site claims that the rooms are soundproof, they are but, I could hear children screaming in the halls and other guests passing my room - luckily I didn’t hear anything past 10pm also the pool is great but my swim was ruined by two men smoking cigars at the edge of the pool as a wellness spa I found this pretty disgusting - they made no effort to stay in one area and stood right over me smoking.

The included breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The rooms are very clean and updated. Having the outdoor pool was fantastic during our stay to help beat the heat. The roof top patio had an amazing view and was a wonderful place to start the evening off admiring the surroundings with a drink from the bar.

The close proximity to things makes this hotel, 5 minute walk to the train station (and wider Italy), short walk into the wider attractions of Florence or if walking isn't your thing a tram stop right outside the hotel. The decor was neutral but nevertheless looked smart and the rooms are pleasant. Staff are pleasant, accomodating and most of all transparent with pricing (making us aware immediately about the city tax but not rushing to take payment). Great incentives with respect to their mission for sustainability, the complimentary cocktails we received for choosing not to have our rooms made up truly made us feel like we were part of their environmental mission and it was a nice touch to provide the customer a reward for supporting this. The breakfast in the morning is adequate and fill of plenty of options if you just want a quick bite before a busy day. Spa facilities were fantastic and clean, really providing us a great space to relax, wind down and enjoy our holiday. I would without question consider booking again if I returned to Florence.

The AC is not available in this hotel all year round and we were told if it’s hot we should open the window. The hotel decides when to turn the AC on. Your choices in April are heat or nothing. The staff is not very friendly and the hotel does not allow irons. We stayed in several hotels throughout Italy on our trip and this was not a 4 star hotel experience as advertised. The hotel also quoted us a flat rate of $30 euros for the taxi to the airport and the taxi driver told us they are wrong and it’s $45 euros.

Started well but ended on a bad note

We stayed for five days in August. We chose this hotel because of the pool and the proximity to the station for day trips. The stay started well. It was only a short walk when we got off our train from Rome, and even though we arrived at 1pm we were able to check in. We really appreciated the air conditioning on hot days, and loved having a dip in the pool. However, on our second last day we came downstairs to find the pool drained and under construction. And on our last day we woke up with no power or water, so we couldn't shower before our flight out, or even use the lifts! We had to drag our luggage down 5 flights of stairs. The man at reception was kind enough to order us a taxi on his mobile after we asked, since we were already running late for our flight after trying to get ourselves ready without power and water. All that aside, I still probably wouldn't stay there again. I'd prefer to give up the pool to stay closer to the city, or even over the river.
