Right from check-in, the experience was bad. First, the clerk at the desk didn't even notice I came in. After I made my presence known, he told me check in would take about half an hour. Half an hour!? I asked if I could have the wifi password so that I could check things online while he checked me in. The clerk replied that he could not until I was checked in. I decided to go around the block instead of waiting inside.
When I came back, the clerk told me I had booked a regular room and that regular rooms only had shared bathrooms. So unless you book a superior room, you don't have your own toilet and shower. Be aware of that. But since they were out of regular rooms, he would upgrade me to a superior one.
However, it seems I got an upgrade to a not-so-superior room. The room I got did have its own bathroom, yes, but it could only be accessed through a 4-foot high corridor, had no windows, no A/C and no fans. It was suffocating. Also, the bathroom's ceiling is so low I had to crouch a little every time I went in. Not to mention that it didn't have toilet paper and looked liked it had been built decades ago and let to decay since.
You would get more value from a youth hostel. If you are looking for a real hotel, pay a bit more or go further north.
