Pleasant Stay!
Hotel staff were welcoming and the hotel was very nice with trendy decor. The room was very clean and was on the 6th floor with a good view of Wittenbergplatz. It was also nice and quiet at night. The bed was comfortable although the pillows are very small unlike ours in the UK and the duvets were individual as you would expect. Nice tea and coffee in the room. Unfortunately our air conditioning did not work. We complained about it twice and we were told someone would come and repair it but it still didn’t work after we left. The room was far too hot and so we had to open the windows to cool the room prior to sleeping. I dread to think how hot it must be in summer! Breakfast was ok, although for 19euros there simply wasn’t enough choice.

Mid Term
Excellent location in proximity to U-bahn and Kürfurstendamm. Friendly and helpful staff from the minute you walk through the door. Rooms - clean, warm and well laid out and furnished. Breakfast - extensive choice, well presented and prompt service. Staff recommendations on local eateries were spot on. Overall, excellent experience and more than happy to recommend.

Ticks pretty much every box
So many good things about this place but it does depend what you're looking for in a hotel of course. For example, although it has many rooms, I would describe the feel as 'cosy', so if you like your hotels big and spacious, this probably isn't the one compared with others in Berlin. It has a compact lobby and breakfast area but seems to function well regardless. I chose the upgraded room which is a little bigger than the standard and also opted for a city view which gave a great outlook onto the square. If you're a light sleeper however, ask for one higher up than my first floor level room as there was a little noise from the restaurants below at least during early evening which is to be expected on a summer's evening. WiFi was fast and free, tea/coffee facilities are included in the room, and there was a fridge with complimentary water. A mini-bar option in the room would have been ideal but sadly this is not available. Staff were fantastic at check-in and throughout, happy to offer advice and directions. The breakfast was also really good (if a little over-priced as they usually are at hotels). The location is perfect. Right opposite a metro station which takes you off to the main tourist sites prettty easily, and also central to a wide choice of shops and cafes. It is hard to fault this place really and I would highly recommend it either for a romantic weekend away or a well-located business stop. It will be my first choice next time I'm in Berlin.

Great location, near restaurant and local bars
The breakfast is way to expensive at €19,90 per person. All of your potential breakfast eateryare going out the door to local restaurant. Need to relook or do away with it.

I loved my stay at the Mercure. It is centrally located. The staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful (even allowing me to check in before 8:30 a.m.) and I loved the facility. I would highly recommend it for anyone traveling to Berlin.
