Lovely place to stay with great views and trails to walk away from the accommodation area. Lots of birds and butterflies to see. Good breakfast - especially the yogurt and home made granola. Evening meals also good- with added bonus of local beer on tap. Staff friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at Valle Escondido. The sunset happy hour, permaculture info, and onsite trail system are great. The concierge service was not as "concierge-y" as I was led the believe, but we eventually got things figured out. There were several middle of the night power surges that triggered the emergency lights 😴 The property is beautiful and most of the staff is lovely

This was an amazing hotel, it was near the cloud foreat and it had its own forest that you could take night guided tours or walk during the day. It was close to town too. We highly recommend this hotel.

Good location, terrible breakfast
The breakfast was terrible. Only 2-3 options to start off with. They had toast but no butter. The banana was pre-cut and soggy. When asked if they had a fresh whole banana, they refused. Smoothie was over 40 mins before breakfast time ended. The toys for kids were in poor shape. Basketballs, soccer balls weren't inflated properly. Good location and view though.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Great location with amazing views and fresh food. We were able to set up a yoga class overlooking the ocean and a night hike where we saw all kinds of amazing animals. The staff were very helpful and the hiking trails were well maintained and full of points of interest.
