I had a terrible stay. When I arrived, I had paid for my stay through Expedia but was asked to pay again. I paid reluctantly since I had already paid for the accomodation. I managed to contact Expedia and they spoke to the property. The lady that was doing the refund had no idea how to actually do a refund and she left with my visa card to do the refund. I do not understand whether Expedia and the motel have not worked together before. It was not a good start to the stay.
I was assigned Room 12 and it was not locking and then I was moved to Room 28 upstairs. The lady actually mentioned before she moved me that this was the third time the door in Room 12 had not locked, so I wondered why I was put in that room in the first place. After moving to Room 28, the lady I think for reasons not known to me but only known to herself forgot she moved me.
I decided to sleep in on the Wednesday during my stay because I had not slept properly on my flightfrom Perth and had been running around all day on the Tuesday. Around 10am on Wednesday morning, there was a loud knock on the door and the door was suddenly opened. If it wasn't for the internal latch the door would have been opened. The same lady, I am assuming, says 'Who is in there? You have not paid for this room'. I then reminded her that she had moved me from the room downstairs that wasn't locking. She then apologized. I don't know if they do not have a record 😕 of when they move guests. The room I was moved to was dirty.
