The hotel is in a great spot to see all the sights that Dubai has to offer. You have the tram station which links you to the metro line along with a bus stop outside the front door. Be sure to buy a Noi card to make travelling around easier. Ferry services, boat taxis and boat trips available on the marina behind the hotel. Day trips and excursions are available to book at the hotel reception area. The beach is within walking distance along with many cafes, restaurants and supermarkets.

The stay was perfect, the staff were great and I loved the hotel. But I can’t give more than 1 star as the hotel refused to reimburse us for a day when our airline cancelled our flight and we had to fly out a day late through no fault of our own. No flexibility whatsoever from such a huge hotel chain, very disappointing. This alone would make me not book with intercontinental in the future, they charge so much and rightfully so because they’re meant to be 5 stars but they take your money and then don’t really care. A little bit of humanity doesn’t cost anything, a cancelled flight is not the fault of the passengers but clearly we are asking for too much.
