As an American everything about this part of Thailand came as a bit of a shock. We were here for a week and met only Europeans, at this hotel, as far as we could tell, there were only Germans and although we could tell many of them spoke English, except for the occasional "Good morning", they never spoke to us. Most of them smoked, and although there were many no smoking signs posted, they ignored them all, very unpleasant when you're having a massage in the outdoor massage area! But on to the hotel, the grounds are lovely, like living in a garden with many meandering paths. The room key controls the power, is rather bulky and there is only one to a room. No wash cloths and some of our towels were a bit thread bare, and a rather circuitous route to get pool towels. The room itself was pleasant, with many gaps between doors and windows and their sills. We didn't see any bugs but that might have been due to our resident gecko, of whom we were quite fond! We found food and drink we liked better at other hotels along the beach, of which there are many; it's one long strip of hotels, but if you want any night life you'd do better in the town strip. Being the next to the last property on this stretch of beach, it's uncrowded. If you want peace and quiet on your vacation, this is the place for you.
